We stayed at the Cross Hotel during a recent visit to Rome, and overall it was a great experience. One of the best things about this hotel is its location, it’s within walking distance to several major sites. In particular, it’s very close to Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, and just a short walk to the stunning Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore, which made it easy to explore some of the city’s most beautiful churches on foot. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff were helpful, and the rooms were well-maintained and quiet which is a nice retreat after a long day of sightseeing. However, it’s important to mention that the surrounding area can feel a bit dark at night, and there are quite a few homeless people along the way and even directly across the street. While I didn’t have any negative encounters, it’s something to keep in mind, especially if you’re walking back late in the evening. If you’re looking for a hotel with few amenities and convenient access to some of Rome’s historical churches and landmarks, Cross Hotel is a strong choice, just be aware of the local surroundings after dark.

I loved my weeks stay at the Cross Hotel. The staff was very professional and extremely helpful. Helping with rides to and from airport, directions and rides to great restaurants the best sites and all the touristy things I wanted and needed. The breakfast included was my favorite. There was a great variety of hot food that filled me for most of the day. I traveled solo and recommend this Hotel to anyone headed to Rome. Ps: I forgot to mention the Garden bar and rooftop! So much fun.

The location of the hotel is ideal for walking to the Coliseum which was my main reason for booking. It's a straight 25 minute walk but there is very little in the way of decent cafes or restaurants in the immediate area. There is a metro station 10 minutes away so getting around is no problem. The Cross is a modern hotel and is well recommended.

We only stayed one night when we had to reschedule our train to make our flight out of Rome so not much to contribute beyond that it was really well situated between train station, metro station, and airport, so would recommend to anyone who wants a Rome stay with a lot of transportation convenience! Also we got stuck on a replacement bus when our train got canceled so the 24 hour check in desk and friendly staff really helped, as we unexpectedly didn’t arrive till about midnight.

Hotel room was very clean, although small the bathroom was very nice, and staff were very kind and helpful with check-in/check-out. Good selection for breakfast, easy to access on the property. The major downside was that the city center and Roma Termini were relatively far for walking and difficult for public transit for people who prefer walking and exploring. Limited options for food in the area, but to be fair it was the end of August during holiday season.

The hotel staff were very kind and helpful throughout, the rooms were also nice, clean, and provided with fresh towels and linens daily. I personally enjoyed the garden cafe just to sit and read late in the evening, and the breakfast provides a good selection of pastries, fruits, meats, and cheeses. The only downside is that it's a bit far from the city center to walk, but can be easily accessed by metro or bus. An added benefit is the several public water fontanellas available on the adjacent streets to refill bottles in the morning and evenings. Overall, a very nice stay!

Bed was very comfy and AC was good. It would have been nice to have a coffee maker in the room, but we knew upon booking that wasn’t the case. Although some reviews complain about the street, we felt very safe and thought it was in a walkable and convenient neighborhood. The hotel outdoor bar is nice as well.
