We were very pleased with the location, facility of getting the keys, and long-term parking nearby. Gianluca is a great host and was quick with requests and making sure we were comfortable. The property should be advertised as “sleeps 5, but as a studio”, as the space cannot be advertised as a two-bedroom property.

The listing is misleading. It says that it is two bedrooms but is really a studio with bunk beds and a futon. Several listed amenities are missing: no microwave or toaster, and the washing machine is broken. No linens for futon. Beds were very comfortable but pillows were flat. Very cheery orange decor. Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, glassware, etc. Small shower, very clean except mold on ceiling. Small glass topped table with 2 folding chairs and a bench for dining space. Host very responsive prior to our arrival, less so during our stay. Great location, close to Vatican, grocery store, shops and dining.

Great location, close to the Vatican and other attractions. Gianluca met us early before standard check in time so we could drop off our luggage. Plenty of restaurants close by, easy to. Catch a taxi if you don’t feel like walking.

This property is located very close to most main attractions in Rome so it was easy to walk and visit around. It was clean and quiet and equipped with A.C. The owner was very approachable too. However, this property doesn’t have two separate bed rooms, it’s a suit with a one bed in the main floor and one on top like a bunk bed.

Central Stay in Rome

Property was clean, bedding and towels were provided and ok. Fan and air con worked well, which was great for the summer heat. Communication process with the owner was ok, we did have some issues checking in, needed to pick key up from a laundry which was closed, was only a 10min hold up, but was an anxious wait at 10pm with my family in a strange neighborhood.The listing says this is a 2 bedroom property, its actually a studio. Also there is a washer and dryer listed. The washer doesnt work and there is no dryer.Also, a few other things to be aware ofThe top bunk isn't suitable for children, there is a large gap between the safety rail and the mattress that a child could roll out of, its quite high and straight down to a concrete floor.The shower entrance is very small, anyone that is wider than average will struggle to fit into the shower. The shower head sprays in all random directions and the hot water is very hard to get consistent.The are only two bowls, not enough for a family of four to have breakfast at the same time, when theres only limited time in the morningThe location of the property is fantastic, we got a direct bus to the Colosseum from the closest bus stop and it is within walking distance from Vatican City. Many restaurants etc nearby too. The metro is 10-15mins walk away, for a direct connection to Roma Termini. The neighbourhood feels safe too.I hope this is constructive feedback for the owner to improve, this property has potential.

Great way to experience true life in Rome

If you’re looking for a fancy place to stay in Rome this is probably not it. If you want a place that feels authentic to living like most people in Rome this is probably a decent choice. The shower is very small so if you are big people this might not be for you. The location is amazing and the host is great!

Highly recommend!!!!

The location of this apartment could not have been more perfect! We could walk to so many important historical sites, and it was close to one of the stops on the Hop-On, Hop-Off bus routes. Lots of restaurants nearby if one didn't feel like cooking. Gianluca was an excellent host – very communicative and helpful. He even supplied an extra fan to supplement the aircontioner during an unseasonable heat wave. The apartment itself made good use of the space, and our family of four adults stayed four nights and were very comfortable. Many 'extras' are stocked, and we especially appreciated the usb charging block. Our only disappointment was that the washing machine was out of service. But, there was a clothesline outside the kitchen window so with a little handwashing, it wasn't a real issue. The beds were very comfortable and the building was quiet. We had a delightful stay!

You know you booked the right place when you choose a place close to the Vatican, and the unit key is like straight out from the Da Vinci Code. Lovely cozy place with super friendly host who respond quickly on Whatsapp. If you are looking for a luxury modern place to stay this is not for you, but if you like to stay in a traditional family housing in the heart of Rome this is a gem.The shower is a bit small but very clean. Do note the unit is on second floor and there is no elevator to go up. Also expedia wrongly stated this as a two bedroom unit. It is actually just one big living room with kitchen and restroom.

Great value and charming neighborhood

The apartment met our needs with it being a 7-minute walk to St. Peter’s Basilica and other walkable sites. The apartment for the five is nicely but the shower was a bit of a tight fit. Other than that minor detail Gianluca was available to assist and a good host. Thank you!

Wonderful one room apartment

This place was perfect for my family of 5 (3 teens and 2 adults). We all had plenty of room, the beds were very comfortable (3 queens). The neighborhood was very pretty and we felt very safe. We walked from here to the Vatican, colosseum, Jewish ghetto and a ton of other places. The owner was very easy to work with and very responsive. we would definitely come back here again.

The host of the property was very generous and helpful . It was a lovely apartment. Very close to Vatican. Sofa bed was not that good and there was no microwave. But overall everything was good. I will come back to same apartment again.

Great space for families to explore Rome from

The orange apartment was as advertised, with all of the basic essentials. Our family of 4 had plenty of space and we enjoyed the great hospitality of the owners and the location. The apartment is very close to the Vatican, and there are many shops and restaurants close by. We would stay here again

Cute place

This was a very cute apartment with plenty of room for our 5-person family. The location was great...only a few blocks from the Vatican....and the owners were very nice. The major downside was that we traveled during a Rome heatwave and the small AC unit wasn't able to bring the temperature down enough to sleep at night. It never got cooler than 80 degrees F/27 degrees C. The shower entry was also a bit small, but overall ok.

Deceiving Description of a Studio Apt

There are NO 2 BEDROOMS. The Unit is a studio Apt with a tall and wide bunk bed in the middle of the living room -we were also offered a small foldout sofa as additional sleeping. The Washer is advertised as an amenity but were told was off limits. Which is also deceiving. The Unit needs new linens, my gosh have some decency you're in the hospitality business and new linens are a basic standard for paying customers. Because of these facts the Unit is overpriced. The Studio is spacious so if the squeaking of an upper bunk doesn't bother you too much to sleep than you should be ok.
