The apartment is located on the first floor of a nineteenth-century building, due to its ancient origins it does not have an elevator. It has a lounge with library and 37 'LCD TV (equipped with a Chromecast device), HIFI and DVD player. The sofa can be transformed into a double bed. A separate dining room with a comfortable table for 6 people. A fully equipped kitchen with a table for two and with TV. This is a great apartment, within walking distance of many of the great sites at the heart of Rome, yet in a quiet residential neighbourhood, thus providing a good night's sleep. The inviting Trastevere restaurant scene is about a 10 minute walk away, starting near the Ponte Sisto. Highlights: -First and foremost, the host, Alessandro, was terrific--very helpful and responsive. Speaks excellent English! -The apartment was spotlessly clean and well-appointed. -Modern bathroom, with plenty of hot water. -Both the double bed and sofa bed were very comfortable. -The WIFI was strong and capable for streaming. -Loads of guidebooks and other reading material available. -If you are self-catering, the kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and good quality pots, pans, dishes and cutlery. There is a full-service neighbourhood supermarket (part of the Tigre chain) a 10 minute walk away (a short block across the bridge). Besides the staples, they sell fresh meat/produce/bread/dairy products and they also have a good little deli-counter. We were able to find everything we needed for self-catering there. We would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!

Tranquil, well located.

Clean. Parquet floors ,wooden beamed ceilings, a well equipped kitchen, nice bathroom and master bedroom. . The sofa bed takes up most of the room in the living room which is the same size as the dining room. It was the perfect space for me and my daughter. There is only one air conditioner for the bedroom and the rest of the apartment was hot on those August days, although the fan in the living room helped. Also there was the rule that the air conditioner had to be turned off between midnight and 7 am. Apart from this, I would recommend this apartment, especially for it's location in the Trastevere area and other important sites within walking distance.

Rome escape

Excellent property, centrally located. Walking distance to all the sites Rome has to offer, especially 10 minutes walking to Vatican, yet away enough from all the hustle of bussy Trastevere restaurant scene to have a good and quiet sleep. Alessandro is an amazing host, who is always avaliable to help, no matter what the need might be. Thank you Alessandro!!! I would definitely return to this wonderful property

Wonderful apartment

Stayed here by myself while in town for a conference and it was great. Great location and I felt very safe. Very spacious and had all the amenities one could want. One large caveat is that there is only AC in the bedroom, and this with the request not to run it "all night". Not sure when else you would want to run AC in a bedroom? There is only one fan for the rest of the house and during the heat wave, it was uncomfortably hot in the apartment.

A spacious, quiet and well-situated apartment

Julie and Alessandro's apartment was perfect for our needs. It is spacious and very functional, with a good size kitchen and a very private bedroom, as well as separate dining and living areas and plenty of closet space. We used the pull-out bed in the living area for our daughter, and it worked well, not at all in the way of circulation. We mainly used the dining table to eat and work, and the kitchen too. The neighborhood is a short walk from the heart of Rome (just across the bridge) and the central Trastevere area to the south, but also pleasantly removed from the crowds, situated on a quiet, residential street. Everything worked well and our arrival and departure were smooth and easy. We were completely satisfied.

Clean, well appointed apartment with excellent owner attention.

This is a well maintained, very clean apartment, minimalist in style (clutter free) with all the appliances and kitchenware you should need for an apartment stay. It is located in a residential area of Trastevere, away from the hustle and bustle so it is quiet, but you will not find a cafe downstairs or a market in the immediate area. It is located about a 20 minute walk to Campo de Fiori, or the Coop. Piazza Navonna, Piazza Sta Maria in Trastevere or Piazza San Pietro are also easy walks. There is no Metro nearby but two buses run irregularly along the river and will take you to Piramide Metro stop or Stazione Ostiense. This is a perfect apartment for a stay in Rome if you want to feel like a Roman! The owners are thoughtful and promptly responsive, you could not find better hosts.

A comfortable apartment in a good location

My husband and I spent the month of November here and enjoyed the apartment very much. The location is good, able to walk to many places and also get buses nearby. The apartment is on a small street out of the main center of Trastevere so it is very quiet. The kitchen is very well equipped and there is a supermarket nearby where we could get food to cook at home. (Even though the food in Rome is spectacular it is good to eat at home sometimes!) Alessandro met us when we arrived and explained the details of the apartment to us and he was available to help when questions came up. He also made some very good restaurant suggestions. He arranged a taxi for us on the day we left. I would highly recommend staying here while in Rome.

Fantastic Apartment in Super Location

Alessandro & Julie's apartment was a perfect base for our 7 night stay in Rome. It is conveniently situated near to the river and in easy walking distance of all the major sites. The apartment is well equipped and comfortable. Alessandro speaks very good English and was most helpful, even booking a taxi for our return to the airport at the end of our stay. Trastevere is an interesting area and discovering Santa Maria in Trastevere was an unexpected pleasure. This location is also convenient for access to the Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi and the Forte Acqua Paola which are well worth seeing. Be sure to take comfortable shoes!

A perfect home away from home

This apartment is wonderful - it is in a perfect location between Trastevere and Vatican City on a quiet street. The bedroom is particularly quiet. It's in a very walkable location and always feels safe. The kitchen is first-rate and I really appreciated having a washing machine, too. The owners are extremely responsive and kind. This is the one place I've stayed in Roma that I would actually consider buying if the opportunity ever presents itself.

Spacious, clean apartment; walking distance to the Vatican, and other sites.

We enjoyed our stay in this nice apartment in Trestavere. It is walking distance to the Vatican, and also to the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. Our host, Alessandro, met us when we arrived and was very patient in showing us on a map he provided how to get to different sites we were interested in. I am allergic to wheat and he also gave us recommended stores and restaurants that I could use. Alessandro also arranged a cab to the airport on our last day which arrived right on time. The bed and pillows very comfortable and quiet at night. Walk around Trestavere...very quaint neighborhood with good restaurants. Thank you Alessandro and Julie!

Perfect Apartment, wonderful location in Rome!

I stayed in this apartment for 12 nights in June. I was able to sight-see everything Rome has to offer form here. I walked everywhere. My daughter attended Summer school at John Cabot University and I was able to met up with her when she was free, and explored Rome the rest of the time by myself - Trastevere is a perfect area to stay in (very safe area) - I will definitely plan to stay In the apartment again ( hope it is available) when I next have the opportunity to visit Rome. Alessandro was a great host . He confirmed my arrival at the airport and was very happy to meet me as soon as I arrived from the airport. The taxi dropped me right at the apartment! This place has 1 large bedroom (with air-conditioner), great bathroom, , kitchen, dining room, and living room (with good fan). It is well decorated and has with great windows looking over the quiet street. This place is even better than the photos. I will definitely stay here again if its available whenever I can return to Rome. Thank you Alessandro for renting this great accommodation.

A+++ location! Excellent apartment for your Roman Holiday

We rented the apartment for one month. You really get to know a place when you're there that long. We were so happy that we choose this location and this apartment. It has a well equipped Kitchen and the most wonderful quiet and comfortable bedroom. The pictures don't show a lot of windows, but there are plenty for light and air. They were fun to look out and watch the daily routines of the locals who lived on the street. The location was amazing! We and you couldn't ask for a better location. Easy walk to all the important sights. The Vatican on one side and Testevere on the other, right across the Tiber are all the big sights you come to see. We had our choice of dinner spots in different neighborhoods due to the location. Our usual day was to have breakfast at home (grocery store near by), walk for a few hours, eat, have tours or shop, home for a nap and lunch, then out again for another walk and dinner. The bedroom was so quiet and dark, resting or falling asleep in the middle of the day was no problem. When you walk as much as we did, you need to rest! Getting a taxi was no problem either. It was an excellent experience and Julie and Alessandro were very responsive and lovely.

Charming place in a great location.

Allessandro and Julie were were wonderful with contacting me and helping me to find the location. The location is a few blocks north of the action in Trastevere and within walking distance to the Vatican so that we were able to make our 7:30 am tour group easily. The apartment is as charming as it is in the photos and very well stocked with supplies. It was a great value as well.

Great base for visits to Rome

We stayed here for the second time in October 2016 and it was just as enjoyable as our last visit. Thanks to Alessandro and Julie for helping to make the experience so good. The flat is comfortable, well-equipped and quiet, and is in a great position for exploring Rome either on foot (St Peter's and Vatican only 10 minutes away, and Villa Farnesina almost on the doorstep); or via Rome's public transport system (we got easily to Via Appia, and Aqueduct Park). Good local food shops and restaurants nearby. We now would not want to stay anywhere else in Rome!

Comfortable and well-equiped apartment in Trastevere - Great location!

My wife and I spent 7 nights at this well appointed 2nd floor apartment in Trastevere. Owner - Alessandro - was very attentive and responsive when needed. We were having phone trouble and appreciated (and were actually impressed about) his efforts in staying in touch with us via voice-mail, text, and e-mail. Our agenda was pretty tight and the location helped us as we were within a 10 minute walk of St Peter's square. Dining options were multiple as we could either walk to the heart of Trastevere or cross the nearest bridge (Ponte Mazzini) and walk to restaurants at Campo de' Fiori. On our way back from the city's heart we usually stopped at the nearest supermarket (Coop at Vicolo della Moretta) to buy our breakfast for the next day - usually Pecorino Romano, bread, and fruit. The owners have a ton of recommendations for local restaurants and other useful information on their kitchen's cork board. If you are going a little farther and don't want to walk, there's a bust stop right at the bridge that will get you to Piazza Venezia and from there you can change to other routes (you can buy the bus tickets at a tiny café on the same street where the apartment is located). If you are booking in the summer just make sure their air conditioning is working as Rome will get really hot. The apartment was perfectly clean and the kitchen has modern appliances (and a Nespresso coffee machine that was a great hit!) as well as everything you will need for a short stay. Again, the location is great because it's near the heart of Trastevere, but not on a noisy street (so you can actually rest), and you are also outside the old city (which will save you a lot of money), while still being able to walk almost everywhere you want to visit. We would definitely recommend this apartment and would stay there again.
