Nice ocean front motel 😍 it’s our second time staying there this summer, second time we were on the second floor, unfortunately.. mom is 90, it was not that comfortable for her to climb on the stairs.

WELL, YOU ASKED, THE BEDS NEED REPLACEMENT, NOT REALLY ANYWHERE CLOSE FOR GOOD FOOD. ONLY GOOD FOOD WAS THE HAWWAIAN FOOD TRUCK OFF 6th AVE. I WOULD STAY HERE AGAIN, BUT ONLY DURRING THE WINTER, WHEN HOPPEFULLY IT`S NOT AN ARM AND LEG TO SPEND THE NIGHT.

Mediocre Room

Outdate furniture. Something wrong with electrical. Lamps were unplugged. Poor charging of phones and tablets. Receptacles loose. Sofa was in need of replacement soon. Chairs had no comfort at all. Definitely lacking a lot for the price.

Great beach access and view, but needs updating for sure. The bed in the front room had a great view but the bed was so broken and old. You can feel the springs in the bed. One window didn’t have a screen so bugs flew in if you wanted to listen to the ocean. The carpet had tears and runs, the mini fridge was either Luke warm or freezing things solid, and there is no oven, even though there is room for it. Nice people, great beach, but just an old tired motel

We were first put in a shoebox size room. Then the bathroom sink became clogged and inoperable. We were then switched to a 2-rm unit, much nicer! Overall property and furnishings very run down inside and out. Place needs major renovation or rebuild from scratch.

This was my first trip to the ocean, and this hotel was in the perfect location. You walk out the back door and you’re on the beach. The rooms were clean. The staff were kind. Everything was within walking distance. I highly recommend this hotel and my husband and I will definitely be going back!

Sent from my iPhone I was traveling from Astoria to Rockaway because of a family matter, unfortunately I was unaware that the office at the Silver Sands closed at 9PM after receiving a message from the office indicating arrival after 9PM, the office would be closed,no other information relayed on the message.Fortunately, I arrived 15 minutes before the office closed, staff person rude on arrival for the inconvenience, handed me my keys quickly,indicating front/backdoor,no paperwork copy after I showed identification and signed for Rm112 ground floor. The room was old,furniture chipped,no phone,carpet smelled moldy,also unaware guests could see inside the room passing by if curtains were open.The bathroom appeared to have the only new furnishing,tub,commode, floor chipped with paint stains. I spoke to the manager when I left regarding the room,she gave no apologize for the inconvenience/concern I spoke about,simply shrugged her shoulders, said nothing. I will not recommend Silver Sands in Rockaway Beach. I will complain to Expedia handling the reservation and indicating that “very good” on their website is false, not worth the price.

We had an amazing view from our room, and made use of the small kichenette in our room. The beach was easily accessible and we had a lot of fun finding sand dollars in the morning. All of the stores and restaurants were within easy walking distance. The food was good and the tourist shops were great. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and helpful.

Older motel but great view and beahc access

The hotel shows its age, could use some real TLC. That said for the price in the area, it was clean, large simple room, and right on the beach. I would stay again for a short stay.

The bed cover and pillow case are old there is no air conditioning unit it was hot especially at night you wake up while sleeping because you are sweating we were allowed to check in early front desk staff was nice

This is an older motel but well maintained and very comfortable. We could literally step out onto the beach from our room. Walking into town for meals was a treat and less than a mile. I loved it so much I just made another reservation.
