The room i had had a loud noise like if the water pipes was going to bust through the wall could sleep...shower sprayed everywhere...casino nice....dont recommended...
I enjoyed my stay at Mountaineer Resort and Casino. However, my sister and I had an issue with an extremely strange man blatantly filling us around the casino. I brought it to the attention of the attendant that stands at the main door, and he brushed us off. We had our husbands escort us to our rooms, but if we were there alone who knows what this guy would have done. Personally, I feel it would be in the hotel/casinos best interest to take guests concerns more seriously.
The heat inside the casino was hot! Our particular room wasn’t cleaned very well. Chips under the end table and the blanket was put on with the tag at the top in my face. Other than that we enjoyed our 2 nights
Check in time was exactly 3:00pm. Not a minute before, their rule. Which only made it harder on themselves, causing long wait times and loss of revenue. I found this counter productive. Also, room was dirty, not vacuumed. Housekeeping responded quickly, though an inconvenience.
Not very accommodating or helpful. Had spa appts in afternoon and then planned to use the pool after the spa, even mentioned we would be having lunch at the hotel restaurant prior-so spending alot of money at the hotel facility before check in time. Earliest possible check in time is 1pm IF you want to pay extra. We left our bags at bellstand, had lunch then walked to the pool and could not get in without a room key. We had to go back to the desk and ask for a temporary key to get in. Why they would not have told us this and offered a temporary key to access the pool is beyond me. Alot of run around for no reason. When we walked into one of the 2 rooms we booked the dressor drawer was wide open. We soon learned it was because the drawer would not stay closed. Definite hazard when walking to the bathroom at night. The dressor was also very scratched up like an animal had done it and holes in chair. Not the Grand Tower I expected for a celebration weekend. I must say THE SPA AND RESTAURANT STAFF were wonderful! Maybe priority members are treated differently.
