This is not the place to stay if you are looking to relax. Here is a list of issues I had that made me check out after 1 night;
1.) Incredibly loud! I went diving in the morning and wanted to take a nap and the plaza next door was blasting music non-stop all day long. Then at night Banarama was blasting drunk karaoke until 10pm. The following morning at 6am the plaza next door was blasting music again. The workers arriving at 6am were yelling back and forth to each other down the alley. Finally at 7am the construction noise started!
2. Damp hotel room, horrible broken shower, apparently you can't flush toilet paper, and the tv is all fuzzy Spanish channels. Now you may think "I'm not going to watch tv on vacation"....well there will be rainy days, you will want to chill out at night, and you will want something to drown out all the noise around the resort.
3. Rude bartender....the workers need to be told that although people cannot speak Spanish fluently they are able to understand it. I heard one of the bartenders repeatedly refer to another guest as "puta" which if you know even a little Spanish is not a very nice thing to say.
The front desk said they would try to move me to another room, but I didn't want to stay there any longer and went back to my much better hotel in West End
