Rented a room with my 6 year old just to get away from the smoke near my home and found a really great price with this motel. They asked for a standard $100 deposit which was fine as is with most places. After handing me my card, the clerk checking me in informed me that in the “very near future” it would increase to $150 and they wouldn’t be accepting my bank card in the future and only the major banks. For context, I have an FDIC insured online bank with a high-yield savings account and 2 lines of credit (who I’ve been with 5+ years) - and this receptionist was acting like I was trying to use a prepaid card. It’s 2025 and online banks are a huge thing that they are clearly unaware of. This seems like a policy to keep “certain individuals” from staying at their facility. Either way it’s a very off putting way to welcome a guest and let them know they cannot stay with you going forward. Imagine booking through a third party website and getting turned away when checking in, then having to wait on a refund and find another place to stay. Wow. There’s some questionable characters roaming around, so don’t keep any valuables in your car. The facility is a bit outdated (old paint/plugs) but can’t complain for the price. Still has all the basics as well - nothing special about it. My biggest issue again goes to the checking in experience. It was enough to make me feel like an unwanted guest.

Great Stay’s at hotel Xola in Moreno Valley

Hotel Xola is a good value for what you pay. Rooms are comfortable and clean, staff is amazing and professional. Plus it’s right next too the bowling alley, a diner, and other food places within walking distance. I feel this hotel has a lot to offer and is convenient. I will definitely be staying here again.

Inexpensive but not bad

The hotel location was convenient for me and the price was favorable. The check-in process didn't take long and check-out was simple too. The room was comfortable. The reason I couldn't give a 5 was that I was not that satisfied with the outdoor environment. There were always people smoking by the entrance. The breakfast was simple and limited. Overall, if you are looking for an inexpensive but not that bad place to stay, Xola could be a good choice.
