We had a little cabin with a kitchen and wood stove and it was lovely. Wished we booked it for a week and bought groceries to just live there. Saw a MotMot right outside our window. Perfect for honeymoon or second honeymoon.

the lodge we stayed at looked like something from a fantasy book. Excellent customer service, wonderful pricing, the restaurant was exceptional. There was an enchanting river with rapids that ran alongside our lodge. I felt like was in a dream! Will see you finally back for a longer stay! I have zero complaints.

Poor experience

We reserved the Luxury Studio on September. They told us someone else reserved this property. Not much fun getting a different place and splitting our group into two locations. The hotel rooms were ok to poor. The walls are paper thin. Could hear other guest music and kids playing video games. The wireless Internet bandwidth was bad to zero.

The food was good and at affordable prices. The location is nice, with nice valley views. The room was pretty run down, and the linens even had a big hole. Based on the options in the area, which are limited, I think it is an average option.

One of the proprietors, Wilson, was incredible. He showed us soooo many birds. The property is loaded with birds. Simply incredible.

This grounds of this property are beuatiful. It is as amazing as the surrounding area and the drive up to the property. It is peaceful and relaxing with views of the Talamanca mountains. The room was clean and comfortable. I would suggest some upgrades in the rooms to match the beautiful of the grounds outside. Even without the upgrades, I would certainly return, as the service, staff and experience was pleasant and unique. I loved walking in the gardens.

The location of this property is gorgeous. The grounds are extremely well maintained and the owners/managers are friendly and helpful with a view to sustainability and the environment as well as super knowledgeable on the area wildlife and terrain.

Great family run hotel in beautiful location

Great location, very relaxing up in the foothills of the chirripo range. We were surrounded by an abundance of birds and plants which helped us to really enjoy our stay. We instantly booked another night on arrival and only wish we could have stayed a little longer. We enjoyed the short trail in the hill behind the property, swimming in the pool and visiting the cloudbridge reserve. The owner was very welcoming and excited to teach us about the birds we could see and hear by our cabin. All the staff spoke good english and were very helpful. The restaurant was well priced and we had some lovely meals and breakfast there. Solar heater provided very hot water for the shower and all the room was cold enough to not need AC.

Stayed in the cabin, excellent views of the mountains. Cabin was nice and roomy, with additional seating outside on the lawn, and a hammock on the patio. The TV did not work (screen said the system needs to be reset after a storm/power outage) but we did care about watching it so we did not aske the staff for the reset. Pool very nice, very good breakfast. The reception sells the excellent Chiripo coffee for less than the original vendor at the Valley Cafe in San Isidro. Would definitely stay again.

Got a room in the main building despite booking a cabin, the staff was very sorry for that and gave us free breakfast to mitigate the issue. The room was OK and for the price (significantly lower than the cabin) a very good value. The property has amazing views of the Cerro Chirripó and surroundung mountains, the garden is beautiful and the pool was a nice touch. Would stay again.
