Lovely house and a warm welcome from Robert. The house had everything that you may require and everything to be able to make a good meal. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you may need. The bathrooms were lovely and there were numerous outdoor spaces where you could enjoy the sun.

A lovely stay

A super property! Beautifully clean, well appointed and an extremely warm welcome from our host. The pool was very welcome during “la canicule” and Robert ensured that it was always clean. We hope to return!

Gite in small hamlet in southern Voges

Les Glycides is a lovely well kept gite in a small hamlet up a hill form the main urban area of Guebwiller. It’s a restful getaway however it does not feel remote. The neighbourhood is charming albeit quiet. The swimming pool is a great plus. The gite is on several levels as the house is built down the slope of a hill. There are lovely views of woodland from the main south facing terrace where meals can be eaten. Cooking facilities are very good with a well equipped kitchen. Dominique and Robert had left us a lovely bottle of cremant and a traditional cake which was a nice treat on our arrival Communication with them was excellent both when booking and on the day of arrival and departure. The southern Voges is a great area for walks and the gite is well placed to take advantage of the many signposted hikes around the area.

Lovely property in quiet hamlet

Lovely well equipped property close to forest walks and mountain biking trails. Fabulous hosts, providing delicious cake, wine and jam. Pool was cleaned regularly and was a fantastic relief in the scorching weather. Ideally suited for our family of 4.

Short stay whilst visiting Tour de France

Had a relaxing time in this beautiful house. Robert was a great host and the house is gorgeous. The teenagers enjoyed relaxing at the pool and my husband and I enjoyed the cycling and walks in the countryside. Colmar is a beautiful town to visit. The house is not within walking distance of convenience stores or restaurants but there is plenty available with a short trip by car or cycle to the next village. Hopefully will return one day. Thank you Robert

Peaceful retreat in a wonderful home with all amenities

We enjoyed a wonderful week at this beautiful house in a very peaceful village. You can enjoy great walks and bike rides from the doorstep. The “ Grand Ballon” and the surrounding scenery is breathtaking. The house is very comfortable, is well equipped and has a fantastic pool which was a welcome respite from the very hot weather. We hope to return soon. Thank you Domingue and Robert for a memorable stay and your warm hospitality. A bientout.

Lovely home in beautiful Alsace

This could not have been a more perfect house. We all enjoyed our stay here, and Robert was kind and helpful. My relatives all live within 45 minutes of the house and we had a most wonderful reunion. Thanks Robert for the delicious kougelhopf that reminded me of my Tante's version, the bottle of wine and your thoughtfulness. We had 100 year old French Ginette with us and she appreciated your kindness towards her as well. The pool was wonderful, we had great weather and the surroundings were lovely. Cozy and quaint and quiet.

Great place, quiet, cozy in a tiny village. One in our group could hear the church bells in the night more often than was wanted but everyone else slept soundly. If it were mine, I would have directions for dishwasher, and washing machine in a language other than just French. We couldn’t get it started and finally asked a neighbor for help. But just a great place to stay.

Charming French cottage with fabulous host

This is a charming and comfortable home. Robert is the most gracious host you could imagine! The Home had all the amenities you could want. The town is very small with no services but if you have a car, everything you need is close by (within a few miles). The beds were comfortable. We were six adults traveling together and the space was great! There is a spa nearby and plenty of places for wonderful walks. Everybody around was extremely friendly but you should speak a little French! Robert went out of his way to make sure we had a great visit!

Wonderful village home.

A little gem! Robert, the owner and his family have done an outstanding job on making this old village house into something amazing. The transformation beggars belief and we got to enjoy it. Situated in a beautiful valley, with vineyards and forest, there is much to see and done in the immediate area. The weekly market at Soultz is great fun and the food at L'Aigle D'Or in Rimbach (next village over) is divine. So much more to do and see, we simply have to go back. One little annoyance was the lack of internet, which without a European phone made things a little tricky sometimes. Merci Robert et a la prochaine, j'espere.

Schöne Tage in Rimbachzell

Als wir ankamen, war Herr Schmitt bereits vor Ort. Er erklärte uns alles und gab uns schöne Tipps für Unternehmungen in der Gegend. Das Haus ist liebevoll gestaltet und wir fühlten uns direkt wohl. Leider hat das Wetter in der ersten hälfte der Woche uns den Pool verwehrt, aber die letzten zwei Tage konnten wir es sehr genießen.

Wirklich zu empfehlen...

Unser Aufenthalt war toll, aber leider zu kurz. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und bekamen alles gezeigt. Im Kühlschrank und auf dem Esstisch hatten unsere Gastgeber einen Willkommensgruß für uns deponiert. Sehr lecker - herzlichen Dank! Der Pool war vorbereitet und wurde von uns täglich (kurz, weil noch sehr frisch) genutzt. Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und wer Ruhe sucht, ist hier richtig aufgehoben. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

Leider war mit aktuellen IOS- und Windowsgeräten keine Verbindungsmöglickeit mit dem WLAN. Offensichtlich ist das Protokoll zu alt. Ansonsten ist das Haus sehr gut ausgestattet und gepflegt.
