The reception staff were notably friendly and welcoming, which is always a great start to a stay. I was also pleased to find that the hotel had elevators, making it easy to get to my room, and that breakfast was offered. As requested, my room was equipped with two beds.
However, the room itself proved to be quite basic and simple, falling short of what one might expect from even a moderately appointed hotel. The furnishings were sparse, consisting of only a dresser, a small desk (approximately 2 feet by 3 feet), and a single chair. Notably absent were any proper light stands; instead, there was a rather utilitarian 16"x18" metal shelf that served a similar, albeit less aesthetic, purpose. A coffee maker, a standard amenity in many hotels, was also missing.
The room's functionality was further hampered by a small luggage stand that was insufficient for two carry-on bags, forcing us to utilize a table overhang as an improvised surface. Additionally, two light bulbs in the room were not working when we checked in, and only one pillow was provided per guest. Comparing it to American hotel standards, the room felt more akin to a one-star establishment or a motel, primarily due to its extremely spartan amenities and somewhat neglected details.
