Good, but needs updates

Check in was good, room clean enough to stay, but needs a through cleaning, too much dust, etc from too quick of cleaning between guests. Needs paint. Needs updated sheets and better comforter. Per water VERY good pressure and plenty of hot water. Would stay again, but not top choice if able to travel further to our planned stop would have.

Although we requested a non-smoking room, it reeked of cigarette smell. Couch in room looked like it was a discarded hand-me-down. Pool was closed. Complimentary breakfast was canceled (but there was a Waffle House next to parking lot).sloppy paint job in bathroom.

Upon initial inspection of room: cockroach found in the tub, open drywall around outlet and cobwebs around the bed, very worn sheets, didn't dare stay. Went to desk to report and asked to reverse checkin. 3 attendants there including what appeared to be the owner who said he lived there. Refused to give back copy of my ID

Floor in room was filthy. I went to sleep because i was tired and woke up and turned light on and multiple roaches were crawling all around the room. Including the refrigerator. I checked out of hotel at 1 am and drove home to florida with no sleep. I will be making a complaint with the South Carolina health department
