Everything was great except for the A/C — it wasn’t working properly. Luckily, the weather wasn’t too hot, but my husband still felt uncomfortable. We really liked the water dispenser idea — very eco-friendly and convenient for guests!

I previously called to request early checkin and a conference space which they promised to accommodate. Unfortunately, this did not happen and when they promised to text me with an update, I did not receive one. I had to check in again with the front desk if any rooms were available. Also, the hotel is very loud within the room from the outside, and my expectations were not met despite the positive reviews. The service was lacking and the space is dated.

This was our first time in Virginia and we couldn’t have stayed at a better hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated by friendly staff and everything that we ordered from the cafe and bar was excellent. We look forward to staying there again.

The Quirk is a nice hotel and came highly recommended by friends who live in the Richmond area. We booked a room with a balcony that put us on the "P" floor at the top of the hotel. Unfortunately, the room really needed to be reviewed and revamped - the rugs had stains on them, the white liners curtains had dirt spots on them, the vents needed to be cleaned (visible dust and dirt), the refrig froze the water container that I put in it. Also during check in there were 3 individuals available for check in - none of them greeted us with a smile - certainly not typical for the front desk personnel. The woman that checked us in did not offer any information other than to hand us an outdated page of the hotel amenities and local restaurants/bars that might be of interest (one of which has been closed for at least two months). I would not recommend staying at The Quirk at this time.

Great venue, no hot water for 2 days

The hotel has a hip design and vibe with a great lobby bar. Unfortunately, none of the 3 rooms they put me in had any hot water on check-in, that evening, or the next morning. The night manager blamed it on very old boilers.

Just ok

Quirk is a cute boutique hotel with decent accommodations. There service was alright with ridiculously overpriced valet services-we were leaving early in the morning and had to retrieve our own car, so we paid $30 to have our car parked a block away. We chose this hotel because it was pet friendly-another $75 fee, but there was no place to take our dog out in a 4 block radius. The room itself was nice and everything was very clean. It was also very conveniently located and easy to find. It was certainly not worth what we paid, but it wasn’t a bad experience.
