Perfect downtown place for a visit

This is located in the perfect spot for your Reykjavik stay, right downtown across from the big church. The service was top notch. Everyone was helpful and cheerful. The breakfast was great! They had a large and healthy selection for breakfast items that don’t need to be cooked while you wait. Our room was very small, but it was clean and cute. The beds weren’t amazing, but for less than a week they were perfectly fine. The bathroom was spacious and clean.

Perfect for first night in Iceland !!

Our room was tiny, but had everything we needed, and overlooked the majestic cathedral. We could watch the people come and go from our big windows, and hear the church bells ring every 15 minutes. This did not affect our sleep, everything was nice and quiet at the hotel. We had a great experience at hotel Leifur Erickson and I highly recommend it. It’s in a great location and parking is easy, across the street near the cathedral. Dining options are also easy to get to from the hotel, and it’s at the top of a very good shopping street.

We really struck lucky!

Fantastic hotel, so well positioned in the city. The staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble. Very clean and welcoming hotel. Particularly liked the complimentary hot chocolate (and teas & coffees) in the lobby!

Small Room but Great Front Desk Staff

The economy room was very small with a slanted ceiling so there was little room to stand up. Very small bathroom. HOWEVER, it had a gorgeous view of the church and the front desk staff were SUPER helpful with restaurant recommendations and airport transfers.

It is very close to stop 8, which is right by the church and where you get picked up/dropped off by yours and the Fly Bus from the airports. Very walkable distance to everything. Breakfast was very limited and the same everyday. Only bread, cold ham, cheese and cold boiled egg. No warm options. No elevators at all so beware if you have heavy or big luggage. Bathroom extremely small. Bed was super comfortable.

Good Stay at Leifur Eiriksson

Great stay in Reykjavík. This hotel is historic, so don’t expect the rooms to be really large. they are not. The staff was nice. They let us store our bags before checkin was available. Also, if there in the summer, as we were, know that the rooms do not have air conditioning. It was not a problem for us as the outside temps were pleasant and you can open windows for ventilation. The location is hard to beat, right in the middle of downtown near all of the sights! Overall, a pleasant experience.
