Rarotonga is a round island with turquoise lagoon and lovely beach. We are in Arorangi the west side of the island, only 8 minutes drive from the capital Avarua and 5 minutes away from the Golf Course and the international airport (daily fly to/from New Zealand/Australia, one time a week direct fly to Tahiti and Honolulu). It is a quite place and safe area, as all the rest of the island. We are situated on the beach side of the island, just a minute walk to the beautiful white sandy beach
and breath taking sunset. Enjoy swimming and snorkelling in the blue/green lagoon. Sport lover can bike around in few hours (38 km). The area is full of outdoor recreational opportunities including boating, fishing, walking, diving, safari tour and scenic flight. You can also enjoy a whale watching, a shopping at the Punanga Nui Market where you will
be able to find local arts, hand crafts and the beautiful black pearls.
A Traditional dance show along with a taste of Polynesia food is held twice a week at the Edgewater Resort just next door to our house.
There are also food shops and restaurants at walking distance.

The property was in great location to beach and town. Place was very clean and well equipped with kitchen equipment and cooking facilitys, great outdoor areas with shade. Carlo was great to comunicate with if we ever needed anything. Would highly recommend this place to stay for holiday.

The host was the star of this experience. We had some concerns about have a meal so late at night. Carlo helped us sort it out. The home was clean simple and everything we needed. Having 2 bedrooms with in room bathrooms was luxury.The internet was top notch. If you have a chance to stay , take it.

Carlo our host was great to deal with. This is an older property in a great location. The house doesn't have a view but is a 2 min walk to the beach. It has a well established garden with big tree's that was great for shade. Its next door to the Edgewater on the south side all close to the airport and the main town. It handled myself and 2 teenage boys well.

Carlo was an excellent host, he picked us up from the airport and dropped us to our next accom free of charge. The beach 1 min walk from the apartment is very nice and quite. The Edgewater Resort is right next door, perfect for a meal or a drink. Great stay.

Lovely wee flat under the treehouse, Carlo kindly let us keep our bags at the flat until we could check-in. Kitchen had everything we needed & I loved being able to watch movies stored on a hard drive, not many places have this facility. We were able to wash our clothes also plus a dryer to use if needed. There was a path at the end of the drive towards the beach that took you directly to the beach where we watched the sunset & whales morning & evening. Best snorkeling at Aroa. Walked to a nearby resort for happy hour cocktails. Carlo gave us some delicious Island passionfruit.

Cook Islands Retreat

We had a lovely stay with Carlo and Roberta. They have a good space with garden 1 minute from the beach with plenty of facilities around. Carlo picked us up from the airport and kindly dropped us off at the end and they were always ready with helpful information.We easily recommend others to stay.

Aloha! Carlo's place is a peaceful oasis with a short stroll to the beach. I enjoyed dinner on the patio at night, the amenities of a full kitchen, beach supplies, and a spacious place. Carlo is responsive in communication and kind. He shared his knowledge of the area and nearby restaurants. Carlo kindly picked me up from the airport on the night of my arrival. I appreciated my time at the Tree House and would stay again!

Great for a family getaway

Nice location very close to the beach and edgewater resort. Kids enjoyed it and its got plenty of private outside room for them to entertain themselves safely. Friends at nearby resorts all said they'd prefer our accommodation for future trips.

Carlos is wonderful!

Carlos did everything he could to make our stay fantastic. Recommendations, meeting all our needs, and hosting us beautifully. It is so close to the beach and very private. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities to do our own cooking. Will be back!!

Peaceful, private, and spacious.

We were in Rarotonga with a large group of friends (30+ people). Most of the group stayed nextdoor at the Edgewater. We preferred to have a private, peaceful place to get some time out when we needed it. The Tree House was our sanctuary. It provided the peace, privacy, and space that the Edgewater (with lots of friends) could not. Plus everything you need in a kitchen and laundry, loads of snorkling gear, and other handy items like torches and umbrellas. Carlo is a great host too. He was happy to chat and answer our questions, and also discreetly leave us to enjoy the Tree House and grounds. Thank you for hosting us.

Treehouse accommodation

The host Carlo was lovely, very helpful. Accommodation itself was very clean and everything we expected and more. The beach was at the end of the driveway, one of the main bus stops was 3 doors down at Edgewater. We ate most of our meals at the table outside. Filtered water available on tap. Would recommend staying here.

Tree House in Arorangi

The house is comfortable and well equipped. It is a very short walk to the ocean, where you can walk on the beautiful beach. Carlo picked us up at the airport and stopped at the grocery store so we could get some provisions for our stay and also showed us a few restaurants close to the house. He also brought us back to the airport when we left. We rented a car, which I think is necessary to really see the island and to get to good swimming beaches and restaurants.

New Year's in Rarotonga

Carlo and Roberta were the perfect host that make you feel like family. My place was very clean, fully equipped with all cooking & cleaning necessities, it was home away from home. I spent some time with Roberta going to antique shops and places i didn't see during my previous visit, it was great. On our last night Carlo cooked for us a homemade fabulous authentic Italian dish. It happen to have been my daughters favorite and we truly enjoyed it. Carlo & Roberta "Mahalo Nui Loa" from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, hospitality, and true friendship. 10 Stars!!

We enjoyed our stay at the Tree House for 4 nights and 5 days. Carlo and Roberta were wonderful hosts who provided reassurance and advise for our stay on the beautiful island. Transportation to and from the airport by Carlo was much appreciated and the public bus was easy to use and get around the island without renting a car or motorbike. Having the Edgewater hotel next door was also convenient for the ATM and other food and entertainment options. The home itself was very clean and decorated in the island style. All appliances worked well for making meals as needed. We also enjoyed having the option to do our own laundry before we left to Aitutaki for a few days. The yard was well maintained with tropical flowers and coconut trees adding natural beauty to the landscaping. It was nice to unplug from our devices for a few days as the internet could be spotty but we adjusted to not checking our devices unless absolutely neccesary. Definitely recommend this place!!

Perfect Raro spot

This was our first time in Raro and we consider ourselves rather lucky that we picked The Tree House and Roberta & Carlo as our hosts for our 2 weeks family holiday. The Tree House is easily accessible, about 5 min drive from the airport just in behind Tumunu's restaurant. The house is tucked away down a little lane, which is very quite. It's a 3 min walk down the lane to get to the beach. The property has everything we needed and plenty of space for the four of us. The garden is very private with plenty of space to sunbath or sit in the shade of mature trees. We had a rental car which was very handy to get around, but there are also a number of restaurants within easy walking distance. The Edgewater is next door, The Flying Turtle Cafe is across the road, and OTB (fine dining) is a 20 min walk down the beach. Carlo & Roberta are great hosts, always there to help without ever being intrusive. Their restaurant tips were great of us newbies, and we were lucky enough to have a proper Italian restaurant dinner on our deck one night, prepared by Carlo! Definitely ask him for his menu if you get the chance :) We'd happily stay again!
