The TV remote didn't work and it took 3hrs to get anyone up to my room to reprogram it. The ice machine in the freezer took 2-days (of a 3-day trip) to make a decent amount of ice. Not having an ice machine in a common area is a horrible idea if the ice machine in the in-room freezer takes forever to actually make any ice. And the flush handle on my toilet broke on Day 2 of the trip. I was forced to use bathrooms at a gas station down the street since there was never anyone at the front desk to make this complaint to (they always had a sign up that they were helping other guests around the hotel)

Dirty Sheets

Wifi was good & staff were friendly. BUT, the room itself was clean but before bed I pulled down the covers and found sheets with yellow, brown and black stains on them. I called the desk and asked for all new bedding. This is at almost 10 PM on 9/9. This was brought to the room by the front desk male on duty. What he brought was also dirty. I was so freaked out I only got a photo of the stain on the new "clean" bedding. See below. At that point we gave up and used the other bed. However, we feel the room should have been refunded, and it was not. I would not recommend this particular hotel in SD to anyone.

Room was clean and well prepared for my arrival. Staff was friendly. Rooms and hotel could use some updating, but that did not detract from my stay. They do not have consistent wi-fi. No secured service, only open service (anyone within range can use it). Staff was not very helpful with that issue. The other was an unpleasant smell upon entering the room. I suspect it was from some kind of disinfectant. I simply left the bathroom fan on for two days, and that took care of it.

Positives: the room was quiet and clean and the beds were comfortable. Also parking spaces were plentiful. Negatives: the hallways were dirty (e.g. a pizza box sat in the hall for days and the "cleaning" staff did nothing) and the internet/TV would not work (I had to become an expert on their system and every day I had to reboot the connection box. Staff told me the equipment was cheap. Pray you don't get a room with a white box if using the TV/internet is of any importance to you.)

The staff was very helpful and friendly. But our tv and phone didnt work so the desk person had to come up twice to fix things. (Phone was never fixed). Our toilet ran but we fixed it ourselves because there was always a sign saying desk person was gone helping others. Someone used the grill outside and garage was left not cleaned for a day and a half. I just felt like the place was understaffed. Thats also why I think things were run down. Paint in our room was badly chipped from recliner.
