This property was our favorite by far! It was an absolutely beautiful setting and the family that owns it were very gracious and welcoming. There were even freshly baked cakes for us to enjoy. The room was perfect with hidden surprises like some mice sleeping in a cigar box in the bedside table. The kitchen was perfect for our needs. We loved the hot tub and the stroll around the property. Our family really fell in love with this place. If we are lucky enough to visit Iceland again, we will be booking another stay at the Garage!

Property was at an excellent location . Very clean and well maintained.. room Size was too god comparing other expensive places we stayed over in Iceland. Full kitchen set up. Unfortunately we couple stay only for a night. Will definitely visit again. Best place that I have stayed so far in Iceland.

This might have been our favorite of the places we stayed in Iceland. Our room was very large and had everything we need. The kitchenette was great as was the bathroom. It is on an amazing property with a waterfall coming down a massive mountain right behind you. Their service was amazing and they even had treats available when we checked in.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful this property was. I wish we could have stayed here longer, but our journey took us to other parts of the country. The rooms are spacious, comfy, quiet, and located on the most beautiful property with a waterfall, sheep, two dogs and a cat (who gave us a warm welcome and always came around for pets!). Room had a small kitchenette. We picked up some groceries on our way to check-in and were able to save some money by making breakfast and dinner each day. Host provided some delicious baked goods each evening in the common area with books, games, and laundry for a small fee. Don’t think twice about booking this property. Worth every penny and then some!

Exceptional property right at the bottom of a waterfall. Apartments are spacious and full kitchen to cook. We rented 2 apartments and cooked a dinner for 5 of us.

So many great things to say! The host was exceptionally friendly. The room was fantastic with a beautiful view of the ocean with a semi-private patio. The host also had a really nice common kitchen area where freshly baked cakes were made for the sampling! The family hiked up the hill to the waterfall—and met very friendly dogs, got up and maybe too close to some small sheep families, and we did not want to leave a minute early!

This guest house far exceeded our expectations. We stayed here for our first night in Iceland and were blown away by the location and the room. We were greeted by two very sweet and smart dogs and then stepped into the check in office which smelled of cakes and cookies just laid out for guests. The host pointed out a grill that was in the shed, which made for a great dinner. After dinner, we went for a hike up the slope behind the house, to the waterfall. We were escorted very caring by one of the dogs. The view of the cliffs and the bay was spellbinding. The guest house very apologetically says that they don’t offer breakfast. This is not necessary. Their delicious cake and coffee made for a great desert and breakfast.
