The registration staff was fantastic....however, when I arrived to the room it was disgusting. Very dirty with outlets "burned out" and the fan/air conditioner gross and filthy. Missing bulbs in the light sockets in both the main room and bathroom (clearly a health code violation). I had to spend time cleaning the air conditioner filter and ceiling fan which clearly hadn't been done in years...just so we could use them. We understand the rooms are outdated, and accept that fact, but the filth is unacceptable. Our friend stayed in a room 2 doors down and his place was worse than ours. This place is in a prime location and is getting a premium price....but not worth it! Please take a look at the critical reviews and know they are true. You will also note a pattern of responses that indicate a 5 star rating after the poor reviews. This may be an internal way for the hotel to address poor reviews. Again, the reception person was fantastic...the rooms are horrible. We are not looking for a refund, but just want to share our observations with other Travelocity clients. Best of luck.

Bed and shower were clean, however . . . Room was dingy, looked like had not been properly cleaned for years (grungy base boards, dirty painted walls, etc) curtain rod broken and kept falling down, mini fridge leaked all over floor, several lightbulbs out and there was an outdoor flood light mixed in with bathroom lights over sink of which only one worked. No hand and face towels, asked for them and light bulbs and extra bath towels for floor cleanup which never showed up.

Booked for 2 nights. bed was very uncomfortable. no choice but to change a hotel. asked 1 time and called 3 times to speak to manager to see if we can get refund or partial refund or change the room for our 2nd night. everytime someone said we will get back to you, but guess what, nothing. This is a very cheap motel on the way through the key west. I do not suggest it to anyone going to key west. Try The Gates Hotel Key West if you want a good quality hotel with a low price. not happy with their customer service at all.

This is definitely not a “resort”, and for the price we paid we are glad we only spent one night here. Assigned the room behind the dive shop. The bathroom was bigger than the bedroom. Very run down motel room. Perhaps the canal side rooms were better? Not sure what others are seeing with their “exceptional” reviews. I would definitely not stay here again!

Old motel, that looks it, with very comfortable beds, nice shower, helpful staff and easy to find location. Unseasonably cold weather so extra blankets were provided and ownership team kept propane heaters fired up in Tiki Bar. Not the Ritz but definitely met our sleeping needs.

I enjoyed my stay at the Looe Key Reef resort. The snorkeling was a blast and the boat crew were very friendly and helpful. The view of the canal from the back balcony is pretty. The pool was nice and the tiki bar was fun.

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a hotel. The place is run down and very dirty. The sheets are covered in stains and feces was on the bathroom wall. They refused to give me a refund stating I had used the shower and bed which I did not. Do NOT stay at this hotel!

It was a great place nice pool area and the Tiki bar and grill was right next door we ended up staying there for New Year’s Eve and they had excellent entertainment for the evening all in all we will definitely go back there again
