No staff on site, had to wait to check in. Staff was gone again shortly after i checked in. Toom was disgusting, looked like it hadn't been swept/vacuumed in ages. Appeared to be blood on the floor by the front door. Hair and dirt on the shower walls. Blankets and sheets were dirty. Saving the best for last, the room had what i see as a pretty serious bedbug infestation.
Not very clean. The first room we got smelled terribly of smoke. They kindly gave us another room, that was an upgrade to a larger suite. The bathtub was not very clean and had debris in it. If you are okay with a cheap option with the bare minimum, this would be okay. It did feel like a safe area and was much cheaper than the options downtown.

Horrible management
Booked due to a medical appointment. The day before the appointment my dr. had to cancel. I requested a refund/cancellation immediately. Was told to "submit an email" as the manager on site didn't have the "authority". My dr. even said they would call them to explain this was no fault of my own. 2 day later got an email back saying "no" because I was (a few hours) out of the cancelation window.
The whole place could use some updating. The ceiling in the bathroom was stained and damaged. There were spots on the floor that looked like dried blood. The in-room safe was not working.
Because it was a snowstorm I looked for a reasonable place to stay until the snow cleared. It was a good stay

Comfortable bed but lacked cleanliness
Bed was comfortable but the linen had some spots on it. Also, the light is so bright outside that it cuts through the top of the curtain making it really hard to sleep in total darkness. The walls looked like they haven’t been wiped down in a while as well.

This property has pros and cons. It's VERY convenient to i40 and the main stretch has LOTS of stores. It's less than a mile from Walmart, party city, dollar tree....many others. It's a quiet property. It's older, so there are some cosmetic issues. The bathroom mostly. No mold, no mildew but some rust around the door frame. I kept my air freshener handy. It's not a terrible stay for a few nights
Dislikes: Initial room we had was dirty and smelled of mold. There were cars in the parking lot that look like they got totaled or damaged that made the environment seem unsafe.
Likes: The staff was accommodating and changed/upgraded our room after we expressed the our concern about the initial room which was much cleaner and appropriate.
