It is an older property that has been spruced up, nicely painted and decorated, updated bathroom. Not fancy but perfect for an overnight stay on our road trip.

Not the best stay.

Didn't realize when booked that this motel was right off a busy highway with lots of trucks. Noisy and people sitting outside their rooms always smoking. I thought it was close to the river but you can't get to it from the motel. There was a bug in the room that tried to crawl under the bed. Lifted up the bed blanket to get the bug and noticed stains on the sheet at the foot of the bed. Looked like it could be blood. They also had my room booked wrong. Initially booked me a single person with one double bed. They had to change rooms around for the two of us as it was booked originally.

Pro's: The room was clean, bathroom had a nice reno and the water was hot. The kitchenette was a nice bonus, but definitely lacked some basics (i.e only one fork) and pet friendly. Cons: We couldn't get the HDMI working on the TV and TV puts out a LOT of heat. The A/C did nothing to prevent the room from being terribly hot and stuffy. The bedside table lamp didn't work (tried it in a few outlets and changed the bulb). We could have asked the manager for a different lamp, but it was only one night. The towels are laughably threadbare. All this being said, what does one expect for $90?

No late check in

I made my reservation during the day while driving and when I arrived no one would answer the lobby door. After some emails and phone calls that no one answered I had to go get a room somewhere else. I ended up reading in the fine print that check in time was no later than 10:00pm. 10:00 pm?? I’m hoping I didn’t get charged for a room I didn’t use but I’m sure I did. I don’t like using booking services because of this. If I talked to a human it would have been fine.
