Very good

We stayed here 3 nights in mid May and used it as a base for visits to the Caen Memorial and the Normandy D Day beaches etc. We were satisfied with what we got. The free outdoor parking was excellent and having an Aldi supermarket across the road was a plus. The suburban location made driving easy. There was no lift but we were helped to carry luggage upstairs. The room was on the top floor with a window in the roof which did not seem to open. It was quiet and clean and the fridge stove and microwave worked well. The free wifi worked ok but you had to log on again each time and came with adverts. The only negative for us was the inability to open the window to let cool air in so sometimes we had to leave the door open to avoid being too warm. During warmer months the lack of air conditioning might be a problem with our room, however, it might be OK for rooms where a window could be opened.
Wonderful accommodations for a family of 5 even made arrangements for our late arrival. Breakfast was perfectly continental with fresh delicious croissants, yogurt, cheese, jams, tea and coffee. Contentious hosts helpful with taxi arrangements and sending us off with a smile. Arrived via Brittany ferries who helped arrange a taxi for 5. Taxis don’t seem to be an issue if traveling in a group of 4 or less.
It was a convenient stop on our way. Place is a bit old and could use some updating, also it wasn't extra clean. On a good side is has free parking and the wifi was decent. Overall can be used for a one night stop but I wouldn't recommend it for a longer stay.
It was very good value and the landlord kindly waited up for me as it took until 10.30 to get off the ferry and to the hotel. The facilities to cook were unexpected and although I didn't know they were there I would keep it in mind if I go to Caen again. The parking was easy and the decor very pleasant
Handy for taking early ferry which we have done. This time for arriving on late ferry, so as we were in no hurry we said yes to breakfast and wished we had not. Very expensive for a less than extensive Continental buffet. We still recommend this hotel as cheap and cheerful, but not the breakfast.
We have stayed here before, either going to or coming from the ferry. The studio idea is very useful, with microwave etc. and Aldi is just across the road.
Loved this small hotel in Caen. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the room had everything you could need. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable.
This is a very comfortable and clean hotel with a friendly staff. They don't know English very well but they know enough to get by. I didn't get the breakfast because it seemed a bit expensive for a continental. However our room had a kitchenette and there is a grocery store across the street. They have a covered bike shelter and we were able to bike to the center of Caen and to "Sword" beach from the hotel. The route to the beach takes you past Pegasus Bridge, another D-Day spot.
The breakfast was simple but lovely and delivered to our room by the very nice gentleman owner (?) each morning. I've bed was good, better than most others that we stayed in around France. It was further from the Normandy than I would have preferred. It was very clean. We felt secure with the locked exterior doors at night.

Impulse visit with no research at all! Managed to lose the room key but hotel owner was OK about it. Pleasant hotel in a pleasant area of Caen.

Lots of pluses for the money
For the price, the value is unbeatable. a stove top, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker are in the room and there is plenty of free parking. owners are very nice but don't speak much English - it did not cause us a problem, though. there is a market right across the street but the hours are limited (about 9a-8p). Bed is comfortable but the mattress has a plastic cover. One night was quite hot out and the mattress cover made it even hotter. The room is plenty big enough, though. We found it to be easy access to the Normandy beaches with a car. Very few late dining options in the area (except Pizza Bus, which was great!), but we had the option to use the microwave and stove in the room, which worked out well for us. No elevator and the tub sides are high and tub is slippery - so could be a problem for older or mobility challenged guests. For the price, free parking, room amenities, etc. it worked out great for our needs.
