Its a mixed review. Some of the things were outstanding and some were below the bar.
Positives:
- The property is huge and amazingly beautiful. Landscaping, swimming pools, the interior of every restaurants and the lobby was great and lavish. Special mention to the beach, it was breath taking view! The best of all the resorts I have been to.
- The water rides were great and kids loved playing there all the time.
- Multiple restaurant options round the clock. The best part of the small food outlets like crape roll, waffles etc were great
- Bars were at every possible corners and the quality of liquor was far better than other all-inclusive resorts (did not include any premium liquors but had less dilution).
Negatives:
- Its not truly "all-inclusive" experience. Most of the indoor things that you or kids would love to do were not included - arcade, bowling, simulator, coconut water, fresh pineapple juice (yes!) wasn't included and it was very expensive.
- Food quality was pretty bad except for the Toro and Zen restaurants. I got diarrhea twice in 7 days.
- The chefs were less professional than what you would expect in such a grand resort.
Nothing to the resort's credit but worth mentioning that the weather in Punta Cana is so amazing that you can stay outdoors all day and night without any temp variation.
In summary it was NOT worth the money we spent, especially after experiencing Moon Palace Grand in Cancun which has set the bar extremely high for the comparable pricing.
