The maid was awesome and cleaned while we were out. Room was spacious but sure wished it had a fridge for water & other drinks. Balcony was nice & had partial view of ocean.

The room was reasonably clean there was some very questionable electrical issues. Weird sticking out of the wall and ceiling, clearly make-shifted outlets. No fridge in the room, AC was not reliable and smelled musty when it was running. Bathroom sink not attached to counter the faucet was wobbling and leaking (we ended up fixing it ourselves). We were not able to have friends come to visit in our room. This was particularly annoying as there was a number of us on a group to staying in various hotels nearby. The staff however were exceptionally nice! Very friendly and helpful.

Nice little hotel -But - internet lacking .complained about it but nothing was done. It was a necessity since I work while away.Tv wasn't watchable because it kept freezing. Clean rooms but very basic - No mini fridge no coffee maker in rooms. It would have been nice to have cold water to take to beach . For these reasons I wouldn’t stay again Staff is friendly Restaurant reasonably priced but wouldn’t give ice for my water at the beach . It’s too bad , it has so much potential….

The staff was very friendly, the room was clean. The exterior property was very nice for a small hotel . My problem was the internet - and the TV . Could not watch the TV because it would freeze on the picture. We asked for them to help and nothing was done. If you are reliant on this stuff you need to stay somewhere else. I’m self employed and need internet to work . Also I would strongly suggest a mini fridge in the rooms . I won’t stay again unless these thing change. All rooms should have a mini fridge - I feel it is a basic requirement. I travel a lot and this is the only place I’ve been to in years that doesn’t have a mini fridge and coffee maker in tbe room for the price point.

We just needed a place to stay an unplanned night and picked Tropicana because of the price and location. It's a fine hotel. The staff (aside from the woman working at the reception desk handing out the AC and TV controllers) was very nice and attentive. We had an interior room which was ok for one night, but I think if I were on a longer stay it would be a bit of a let down, and would recommend a room with a balcony. I also think we were in the older side of the property, but can't be certain because we weren't there long enough to explore. Overall, the hotel is dated but still has a charm to it. Like I noted earlier, "fine" is the best way to describe it.

When i first read the reviews for this resort most people said that the hotel was not a new hotel but for the age of the hotel it was well kept and comfortable. I never pay to much money for resorts since i dont spend much time in my room and what's the point to spend so much and all you do is sleep in it. I highly recommend this hotel for courteous staff and approachable comfortable rooms with a lovely view nice pools and its a beachfront hotel with outside amenities and beach service. If you don't want to spend to much for a room and be comfortable and very close to all the restaurants souvenir shops and bars this is a great spot. Thank you hotel tropicana for a lovely time and courteous staff.
