My husband and I spent 10 days here in December. I'll start with the positives. The concierge staff were ALL amazing (Marta, Ivan, and Xavier). They went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. They were the best. The bed and bedding was extremely comfortable. Much appreciated! Small things, but the Kleenex and TP was high quality. While that sounds trivial, my husband and I both got sick (bad cold or Covid) but soft Kleenex was a life saver! The location and view over the river was wonderful. Right in the heart of Zona Romantica, but very quiet and serene. Now, the not-so-positives... Our first room (Hansel) was so dark! A lighter paint and better light fixtures could have easily fixed this. Personal grooming in the bathroom was next to impossible. After 4 days or so, I couldn't take it anymore, and when I saw the room across from us (Gretel) had become available, I asked if they could switch us (they kindly did). It was a little smaller, but much brighter, with wonderful natural light in the bathroom. Having paid $40 US per day for an "upgrade", it left me wondering what kind of room we'd have had without the upgrade. The upgrade also included breakfast, which was okay at best. Limited choice and sporadic service (though I know that they were going through some changes). The pool area was pleasant (though tired and in need of repair) had only two loungers. Overall? Okay. Know what room you'll have...some were even darker than Hansel!

Staff was exceptional and the hotel has such charm - absolutely gorgeous. The pool area was so relaxing and lush. Our room was on the main floor and not as nice as some of the other rooms in the photos but we were only there for one night. We would totally stay there again and upgrade to another suite. A hidden gem in Zona Romantica ❤️

Very kind staff, easy check-in, room was ready on time. Very nice room, loved the common areas, the pool and hot tub were all very nice. Would definitely recommend and would stay again. Also in a very quiet area but walking distance to all the shopping and foods.

Went here late October 2025, with my 16 year old son and nephew. WOW! We loved the hotel, the pool, the common areas and our enormous room. The hotel is so unique, and you'll feel quite at home right away. Gorgeous little art pieces and fantastic wood antiques and huge wooden doors. Location on the river was beautiful, and so relaxing. Music floats on the night air. Breakfast on the river side deck is WONDERFUL! Take advantage! Just be sure to sit protected under a sun umbrella, as the naughty iguanas are snacking on the berries above and might drop some leaves or bark Food was simple, but well made. Service was great. Here's a hint - to get to the Malecon take the back gate and pop over to the other side of the river. Mosey on down through the vendors stalls. This was such a neat way to get to the beach. Such a quick little walk. The Hotel staff went BEYOND our expectations. Front desk gals were amazing. They helped out with restaurant recommendations, tour info, directions. Try ANY restaurant that they recommend. Foodies will love them. The service staff fellows were so helpful and cheery. Bed was super comfortable. A/C was collllllddd. Ceiling fan, gorgeous furniture, colourful walls, nice bedding, little fridge, safe, The road out front is under construction (as of October 25, 2025)- so if you're ordering an Uber, make sure to grab the name of the hotel on the closest intersection for pick up. I will be back. This hotel is an absolute gem of a place.
