The hotel is a little bit older and it shows. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Short taxi or Uber to the marina or Malecon for shopping options. Need to work on the seating around pools and beach, numerous signs stating "no reserving" but not enforced at all leads to people putting towels on chairs and leaving for hours on end.

The staff were excellent. The room was nice, but definitely showing wear and tear. As like many places, people save the cabana beds and chairs and don't come for hours to use... one guy held a bed all day, and never came to use.... the food was not too bad..

Everything was great. Service and cleanliness is great. Location is real close to ocean. Views are spectacular. Hotel is making improvements as well. They do need to change menus at a la carte restaurants. Been here 3 times and we love it, will be back again some day.

Definitely the property is older but it's clean and most of the staff are friendly. The buffet at the Golden was terrible, go to the family side it's way better. The a la cartes save this place, the food was very good. Go see Morgan on the beach for tours, he's very kind and knowledgeable also if you book more than one excursions the better the deal. Overall we enjoyed our trip especially the rooftop pool.

My only criticism for this resort is the food. The variety is lacking on the buffet and restaurant reservations nearly impossible to get. Buffet food was mediocre at best. We were able to get dinner reservations 2 of the 5 days, and those restaurants were very good. But be prepared to eat mostly buffet or snack bar items and they dont seem to have enough restaurant staff to open at full capacity

Hands down the best resort i ever stayed at. Great facilities and rooms, good location, excellent value and nothing but kind, friendly, helpful and hard working staff. Very accompdating for English speakers. Was also clean, quiet (on the adults only side) and safe, and got to some whales swimming. Will be back again very soon

The all inclusive features are great. And the beach access and beach bar were awesome. Nice buffet goes almost all day long. Free drinks. Our particular room looked pretty old, curtains didn't hang nicely which just gave the look of something more seedy.

Our room flooded 3 times (which they tried to blame on us) and the a/c didn’t work, and we had no hot water in the room and they were going to do nothing until I complained then they finally changed us to another room. We were supposed to have a king size bed with an ocean view, we got twin beds, the food looked wonderful but taste wise was totally lacking, and it was hard to even get into the restaurants

Fantastic budget property! Excellent food - best we've had for an all-inclusive resort. Everything is close & within easy walking distance. The poolside & beachside canopy beds are perfect, as is the 7th floor infinity pool! Wonderful, polite staff! Will absolutely come back!
