El hotel debe mejorar muchos aspectos. Pienso deben tener una parrillada en el area de la piscina donde puedan comer snacks mojados, como decir en el horarios de 11am a 4pm una plancha que haga como cosas para picar casual sobre todo para los niños que no quiwren salir de la piscina perros calientes, hamburguesas, pizzas, pues no sirven nada de masticar solo tragos en el bar de la piscina. La musica se termina a la misma vez que cierran el bar a las 5pm. El Buffet es poco variado y a pesar de que tienen las frutas las ponen sin pelar, como es posible tengas que pedir un cuchillo para pelar las frutas si supuestamente ya debe estar listo de comer. El servicio en general es muy bueno pero los empleados no pueden hacer maravillas. En fin no repetiria este hotel pues los hay mejores. Gracias.

The food wasn't wonderful.. it was good. Just nothing remarkable. I would suggest to this hotel that young children not be allowed in the fine dining restaurants. It is frustrating to make a reservation, get all dolled up, then be seated next to screaming kids in a fine dining area. The kids probably don't like the food offered anyway. To me, this is pure selfishness on the parents' part to ruin the dining experience for the other patrons in the room.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort- all the staff was amazing!! We loved Oscar and Adriana! They always took special care of us! Food at the buffet and all 4 restaurants was great! Felt very safe and there was always something to do, but areas that were designated also for quiet times- if you prefer. The beach was very nice and the pools were great for kids and adults! We will definitely be back!

The food was not great. Extremely difficult to get into a La carte restaurants. Rooms on lower level floors had mold around a/c’s. Great potential but a bit run down in areas and restaurants are a disappointment. Mismaloya area safe and great local experience.

Loved the resort and Mismoloya Barcelo staff were great at the buffet and bars. We stayed 8 days the manager when we arrived took care of us and we upgraded our room to the family suite which was worth every penny! the kids loved it! We did a couple of excursions with Mismoloya Extreme adventures. We did snorkeling around the los arcos and another excursion to a small village by boat where he took us to a waterfal that inc an atv ride. the boat captain was Jason Graham and he was awesome! when down on the beach just ask for Jason and he will take great care of you. His prices were great and really enjoyed it. Why we didn’t give an excellent review is because the resort had a wedding on site the last night we were there and it turned into their own personal night club. The bass from the speakers made our room on the 7th floor vibrate and shake until they shut the music down at 11. Then the crew took the dance floor and lights, tables etc down that finished after 2 am. In other resorts they have places designated for weddings but this was smack dab in the middle of the pool area between the two hotel towers. If i was traveling with young children there is no way they would be sleeping with that going on. Otherwise a great trip I just felt our stay and the others not attending this wedding were less valued at the end of the day. When I mentioned this to the front desk when we checked out they didn’t seem to care about the feedback. thats too bad i guess.

Average hotel, def dated and old. If you’re going with just adults you can do better if you can afford it. If you have kids and don’t need anything fancy this place is perfect. Your kids will think it’s amazing. No one got sick and kids had fun.

If the beach is your main priority- this might not be the right resort for you The resort itself was beautiful, clean, and well-maintained. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful, making our experience even better. The food was fantastic, both at the buffet and the restaurants—we were really impressed with the variety and quality. The only downside for us was the beach. I didn’t realize beforehand that only a small section was designated for hotel guests, while most of it was public. Unfortunately, we were constantly approached by vendors trying to sell us things. It made it difficult to fully relax and enjoy the ocean view. Even when we were on the resort’s balcony overlooking the beach, people would walk up to the ledge to ask us to buy something, which got frustrating. If you’re looking for a resort with a peaceful beach experience, this may not be the best fit. But if the beach isn’t your top priority, everything else about the resort was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay!

The food and drinks were excellent. We did get upgraded being VIP through Expedia, however only benefit was being able to eat at restaurants every night. We did not recieve a room upgrade. The pool entertainment team did a good job keeping us entertained. Room was ok nothing special.
