I really loved our week at the Barcelo. A couple things to note, as I think some visitors may want to know. The a le carte restaurants book out quickly. We found the steakhouse challenging to book, as the premium guests get first priority. We managed to get a booking for 8:30pm which was the earliest available. Not a problem, but worth noting. If you want to do excursions there are great options but there will be extended travel time as it takes a while to drive to the excursions from the resort. The tour company is based out of puerto Vallarta so you will be travelling at least an hour longer in a shuttle than the hotel pick up is in puerto Vallarta. Once again, not an issue for us but worth knowing. Otherwise the resort has great food, is simple and quiet. We loved it.

Todo estaba bien hasta que nos dieron la recámara. En primer lugar mi esposa no estuvo de acuerdo porque tuvo algunas inconvenientes con la limpieza de la recámara se le pasaron algunos detalles de limpieza básica. Nos quisieron dar otra recámara de dos camas cuando teníamos la de cama King. Pero al final nos solucionaron el problema y aceptamos quedarnos ahí. Pero al pasar los días tenía un olor extraño especialmente la cama. No nos quejamos pero estaría bien para próximos clientes. Para que no tengan conflicto o problemas. Eso es todo, de ahí en si todo estuvo bien sin problemas. Espero este mensaje llegue para el Gerente General del resort. Estuvimos muy contentos en nuestra estadía ya que es nuestro segundo año consecutivo en este resort. Nos gustaría poder visitar nuevamente

I liked the hotel. The only complaint I had was that they would not let you use the all inclusive after 12. So if you had a late flight you would have to sit in the lobby. Our family travels to Mexico every year for our Birthdays and never has a hotel not let you use there accommodations until you leave.

Barcelò was gorgeous! The scenary around the resort was very beautiful. Food at the Italian was delicious along with Spanish. Steak house was a bust! Service around the resort by servers was good along with the cantina. Beach and ocean were gorgeous and very quiet. Boat traffic wasn’t to terrible either. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Love the resort the only thing is that we weren’t able to check in early and check out late they wanted us to pay more money! I have never had that at any resort I travel all the time. Spending time in the lobby is waste of my holiday.

I have been going to Mexico 1-2 times a year for the last 20 years. Never been robbed until this year at this resort. We had a problem with our in room safe. Staff came to service it and told us we needed new batteries in it. We were headed to dinner so they told us to call when we wanted it done. The following day three men who claimed to be security showed up to change the batteries in our safe. I walked onto our patio for 20 seconds while they were working on it. They finished and left. The following morning we went to get cash out of the safe and $500 was missing from my husbands money clip in his wallet! We filled out paperwork to make a claim and were told an investigation would happen. Not one of the managers even apologized and we have yet to hear anything. The resort itself is nice, clean, big showers, comfy beds. Food is just okay but very disappointing when you can’t trust security staff somewhere you stay! Beware

It’s a beautiful property food was average. David in the buffet was a great very friendly up beat. Our friends had $500 stolen out of their safe! The safe needed new batteries, 3 “security “ guards came to change out the batteries and the next morning the money was gone. This was all while they were in the room! They are currently doing an investigation!?
