The rooms and facilities here are beautiful. Large and clean and very comfortable. The staff are very welcoming and helpful and the food was very good as well. We felt very safe and secure while at this resort. The lady at the tours desk was super helpful, and the concierge booking the a La carte reservations was very good as well. The omelette station in the morning is great. The property is nicely laid out and easy to navigate. We were travelling as a family with teenagers - we enjoyed the beach volleyball and the basketball court, but found the beach could have been more accessible. There are only 2 ways down to the beach, neither on the same side as the volleyball court, and there are no bars or restaurants on the beach so you have to walk back up top to get drinks. The waves are very tame, which was a benefit to the families with young kids, but a little disappointing for the teenagers. We were very happy with our stay and the resort and had a wonderful time there, but would probably choose a different resort next time with bigger waves and a more accessible beach.

The room in very clean and spacious. The food is mainly delicious but repetitive in buffet though. The beach is beautiful. What I do not like, there was a day without electricity, after that one of two elevators in building one stopped working and the only elevator was very busy. When next day the hotel fixed the elevator there was not light inside.

Buffet was terrible for the price. Cocktails were also not good but I didn't expect much. I cannot believe there was one day with power outage and no water in the room at all. And there is no refund or any benefits for this kind of terrible experience. The place is small, ocean is full of boats and no view. The worst resort I've been in PV.

The staff were very helpful, pleasant, and accommodating. The pool was refreshing and clean. The food was limited for our vegan diets and we found the snack bar to have the best lunch options for us. Only one of the two elevators in our tower worked at a time. A decent resort and if you come here get a tour with Jack Sparrow!

Rating: 4/5 Stars Pros: The family room was ideal, the pool area is fantastic, and the food was surprisingly great—definitely exceeded expectations! Cons: The insects were very persistent despite daily spraying. I wish we had been told at check-in that free repellent was available. Also, our taxi to the airport (arranged at the front) had no air conditioning; it would be helpful if the staff vetted the taxis for long-haul comfort before departure. Overall a great stay, just pack some extra itch cream!

Stayed at Barcelo for a week. Staff was very rude, multiple power outages with inaccurate information. Was supposed to be a power outage from 9am-6pm didn’t come back on till after 6pm in that time our water wasn’t working. Couldn’t shower or flush the toilets. When asking for an explanation was met with rude staff that seemed extremely bothered that we were even asking. First power outage we weren’t given any type of notice or explanation. Second one was given a note with inaccurate details of the issue. All staff was driven by tips and made it clear they were unhappy to serve at an ALL INCLUSIVE without getting a tip. We have never been to an all inclusive that was this uncomfortable when it came to tipping. Our shower handle came off, our door lock broke off, and the bathroom showers had visible mold and a foul odor coming from the drains. There were multiple issues with guest that were drunk at the bar grown men making girls uncomfortable and touching them staff was notified and around to see these issues occur and did nothing to resolve to address the issue. Continuing to serve people that were literally falling over. There was throw up on the bathroom floors. They spoke about you in Spanish thinking we didnt know. I would not stay here again and would never recommend There should 1000% be some type of accommodation or reimbursement for the experience we had. I would like to be contacted regarding my experience whether that be Expedia or the hotel themselves.

The rooms and service were great. It is a small resort and it does not have alot of amenities. There is no disco/ club for night time fun. The one bar that is open later had live authentic music only. They had shows each night. They were alright but being a smaller resort it was just ok. The food was mediocre, they don't have enough snack options as the late night snacks were basically half hot dogs and quarter dry

If this hotel has a 5-star category, then I have never been to a 5-star hotel, but I have, and I know what it's like. From the noise of the machines running on the beach, from the smell of gasoline that wakes you up in the morning, to the food that is terribly tasteless, of poor quality, and that just keeps changing from breakfast to lunch and then to dinner. From the bread that falls apart because it's dry, to the oatmeal that's cooked like slop, to the rice for breakfast, and various overcooked vegetables, I don't know who eats that for breakfast; it's really of very poor quality. In an ala cart restaurant you will have a steak that you cannot cut with a steak knife, in an Italian restaurant they will bring you a leaf of salad covered with parmesan and call it a Caesar salad, in a Spanish restaurant you will order a beef in pastry puff and they will bring you beef in a sauce without explanation and when you ask, they will rudely tell you because we don't have pastry tonight, shouldn't you have been informed about this at the beginning of the order, at least that's how they do it in 5 star ala cart restaurants. In order not to write further about the details, I will just say that I was here three times - the first, the last, and never again
