This family cabin sits directly on the water for Scofield Reservoir with a private dock. Once here you can discover all of the activities that Scofield has to offer. Try your hand at fishing year-round, go for a hike, drive up to see amazing beauty that the national forest is.

I will caution you, once you are here its hard to want to come home.

We really enjoyed our stay. We found the cabin well stocked with most needed supplies. Plenty of throw blankets throughout, at least 10 or more. The furnace kept the house plenty warm throughout our Christmas stay and we had the fireplace running almost 24/7. The main room is outstanding and truly a lodge-like environment. The cabin is less than 100 ft from a small but sometimes busy two-way highway, so nights can be a little loud sometimes if semis are doing night hauls. Overall the experience was a really pleasant getaway for our Christmas vacation!

A great weekend.

We enjoyed ur stay very much. There should be some grab bars in the showers. After we had reserved the cabin, we kept receiving notices to finish our reservation, and this caused stress. Had to contact the owner and make sure we had a reservation.

Amazing property that looks and feels just like the pictures. The location is pretty good, at the far end of the small community. A little close to the road, which normally wouldn’t be a big deal but apparently the coal trains weren’t running so it was all big trucks 24/7.We left our window open all night to keep cool so we heard the trucks. The cabin had all the silverware and pots n pans you could need for a large group. The water level was high this year so it was truly a waterfront experience! We caught fish right from the dock! The cowboy cauldron outside was perfect for cooking 6 racks of ribs. During the week there is hardly anyone else around so peace and quiet. The weekend definitely picks up and gets busy. All in all, a great place to stay.

Our annual summer vacation spot

We absolutely love this place. Kirk is an awesome host and communicates very well. Kinda feels like our home away from home! Locations is great, during the week you feel like you have the Lake to yourself. There is a small Gas Station in the center of town that has a little something for everyone. The owner, Jerry is a stud and is great for some conversation. This next part does not bother us, but should be noted, the road is about 50-100 yards away from the front door. Trucks hauling some type of rock product drive on it pretty regularly and at least during the week (summertime) use it all night long! Here again, we deal with it because of the location, you are literally on the lake....and the trout are biting. We will be back next year for sure!

We got together as family to celebrate a couple June family holidays. So nice to have room for a group and ideal to be able to walk out the door and be on the water. The location was great in that respect and the lake and the options for recreation are excellent. The cabin is well equipped for a quality experience.

Wonderful

We had a great stay in a winter wonderland. Gorgeous view, perfect use of space and layout. The kids loved the loft, the adults loved the living area. Beds were comfortable and 4 bedrooms and 3 pull out sofas ensured everyone had a place to sleep (4 couples, 2 young single adults, and 4 kids). The cabin has eveything you need. We'd love to come back!

Great Thanksgiving Away

This cabin was beautiful! Had all the amenities you could think of and more. My grandkids loved the area upstairs to play while the adults enjoyed football and cards downstairs. My husband caught a trout right from the dock. It snowed a day we were there as well which made the holiday more magical. Would love to visit again in the summer. Thank you for sharing your cabin and being prompt on our check in.

Beautiful cabin right on the lake, great for fishing & having a private dock for our boat was perfect. One negative is the close proximity to the loud highway next to the cabin with semi's driving frequently both day/night & the ice maker in the freezer was broken & that wasn't mentioned ahead of time. Otherwise we enjoyed our lakefront view.

Great Lake home

This was a great home right on the Scofield Reservoir. We caught several trout right off the dock. This home has everything needed to be comfortable for our family of 6. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the extra spices needed. If we were coming to the area again, we certainly would look up this spot.

Beautiful Spot on the Lake

I loved how beautiful and peaceful the lake was. Because the water levels were so high this year, they was no beach, but that was fine. I would recommend updating your book of rules to match the instruction on the fridge. They didn't match. We need more paper towels, and it would be a good idea to let the customers know that the ice machine in the fridge doesn't work. We had to run into town and grab more ice and paper towels. We are planning on renting this next year. We loved it!

Best kept secret

The cabin is awesome, the location is perfect and the views are amazing. This was our second visit to this cabin and it was better than we remembered. Water level is high on, as of 7/2/23. The main road leading around the reservoir is pretty close, but it did not bother us at all. Being right on the water and the views trump it by far. Communication was smooth and easy. We will be back next summer for sure!

Wonderful Stay June 2023

The cabin was more than we expected. It was supplied with everything you'd need and then some. All you need is your clothes, fishing gear and food. The kids had so much fun with all the fun beach toys and games. It was really good fishing off the dock. I caught the first Muskie 32" made the boys jealous. But then my son in law caught a 36" It was quite the experience. My son caught a 22" cutthroat and we all caught many fish. We're definitely booking again for another family vacation. The cabin and grounds we're amazing.
