The location was good. The hotel was under heavy construction. I requested to allow my friend to get into the room before I arrived. Which was denied. I went to a comedy show and when I got back to the room it was occupied by a family. Very disturbing and scary. My belongings were in the room!

Could of been better

Hotel was under construction when I arrived and Reserved room was not available. I was upgraded to a suite with a double bed away from the construction, to accommodate me as there were no other availble rooms in the area in such short notice. After coming into the room, a few minutes later a maintenance person came in to check a bathroom toilet leak, this resulted in another call to the front desk in which they could move me to another double bed room closer to the construction. I declined as I was already in a room that appeared subpar, wall paper peeling and stained and doors that rattled with anyone coming in or out on the floor. The employees were great and accommodating as much as possible so no issues with them, they were doing the best they could under the circumstances so they get 5 stars, just facility was not what I expected, frequent the area never had an experience like this. Maybe a stay after renovation may change my opinion.

Safety concerns! Very stressful checking in at 8pm and first impression was of a second story window MISSING! Not only was it missing there was no coverage, it was wide open (pic shared). Also the view out of our first floor window was less than desirable. This morning it was evident that someone had obviously tried to break into the room we were staying.

Hotel is definitely dated. They are doing upgrades but the room we got wasn’t great. It was a bigger family room with a kitchenette. The pull out couch was OLD and the room had a HUGE kitchen table in the middle of it. All of the furniture looked like it came from a thrift shop The toilet didn’t flush. Smelled like chlorine when we arrived. And in the morning around 5:30-6 it smelled like eggs because the breakfast room was under our room. The pictures are of the renovated rooms and that’s not the room I was in.

Horrible stay. When we arrived the room was freezing because the heat wasn’t turned on. It sounded like the people above us were going to come through the ceiling and you could hear everything from the hallway and rooms next door-so noisy. Then we woke up to no electricity, no hot water and no heat. The front desk said they were unable to do any sort of refund/partial refund. One of the worst stays I have had at a hotel.

Preparing for trip to DC

I wanted to spend some time away and enjoy the use of a pool. This hotel had the bang for the buck.
