We stayed for a week and had a great time in Porto! It is centrally located on the campus of University of Porto; a 4 minute walk to Clérigos. The apartment is spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the free breakfast in the pastry shop downstairs.

Great location! Amazing breakfast! It’s too bad that coffee wasn’t provided for the espresso machine, or shampoo for the shower. There’s also quite a lot of street noise, so be sure to bring ear plugs if you stay here.

We had a great stay at the Hungarian Biscuits Apartment. We found it ideally located for what we wanted to visit and close to tour pick up points.You can get a bus to the airport immediately in front of the apartment. Breakfast was good although we couldn't get it on two days due to early starts but they happily gave us a coffee and pastry on one afternoon instead. Access is by a combination lock. If you arrive in the dark you may wish to activate torch mode on your phone as the timer lights will shut off before you finish inputting the combination and you will be left in the dark. You will have to move around to get the lights back on in order to start again. You will get faster entering the code after the first time.

Had the most amazing time in Porto. The apartment was clean, as pictured, and central to everything in the city. Many good restaurants nearby. The breakfast included at the bakery downstairs was really good and I think the pastel de natas were my favorite of anywhere I tried them!The hosts Elisa & Luis were friendly and responsive, check in was a breeze and they even helped me arrange a car from the airport on arrival. On weekend evenings it could be a bit loud at night but only until around midnight. Didn’t bother me at all but if you’re a light sleeper and go to bed early you may want some ambient noise etc to block it out. The view of Igreja do Carmo is extraordinary. I worked from the apartment during the week and the wifi was excellent. I will miss waking up here and would absolutely stay again. THANK YOU for an amazing stay I will remember this trip forever.

Great spot in Porto!

Great location and a nice comfortable apartment. Can get a little noisy at night but that’s the price you pay to be so close to everything. Great hosts who supply a delicious breakfast every morning. Would stay again!

Wonderful spot in the heart of Porto!

This apartment was perfect for our few days in Porto. Eliza and Luis were very helpful and the breakfast was delicious. The location was central to everything we wanted to do and see. Dinner at Graham's Vinum Restaurant was a highlight, and our Porto walking tour with tour guide Scotch.

Wonderful location and excellent hosts

My husband and I spent five days in Porto in October 2024. We really enjoyed our stay. Eliza and Luis run the Primar pastry shop and the apartments are upstairs. The location is ideal - right in the middle of town. We walked everywhere. The riverfront is a short walk downhill, and there is shopping, restaurants and sights very close by. The "Harry Potter" bookstore is one block away. The apartment is small but comfortable and every morning you will get a full breakfast in the restaurant downstairs, as well as a pastry of your choice. Note that there is a university nearby and the students can be noisy on the streets at night. I recommend that you bring foam earplugs if you are a light sleeper. Luis and Elisa are excellent hosts.

Elegant apartment

An elegant apartment above an old-era pastry shop, immaculately maintained. Very spacious with well-thought out kitchen, abundant storage, clean bathroom, useful amenities. The windows in each room frame the Igreja do Carmo. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more. Elisa and Luis were very kind to us and made sure that we were enjoying our stay. Some VRBO apartments lack the owner's touch, not this one. It was such a treat to stay in an apartment that is so well cared for. The basket of pastries upon arrival, the complimentary breakfast at the pastry shop (beautiful seating on the second floor), all added to our experience. Thank you so much. We truly enjoyed our stay!

This is a gem of a place!

My partner and I stayed here while on a 6 day trip to Porto (our first time in Portugal) We arrived at 2pm and had a very easy check in at the register of Primar. The young lady gave us instructions on how to enter and exit, and even gave us some recommendations on places to eat around the area. The location is great - we were able to walk almost anywhere within 20 minutes. The apartment itself was clean, spacious, and very cute. We were welcomed by a little gift basket full of bread, fruit, and pastries from the shop downstairs. Also, as a guest you can get free breakfast/pastries every day of your stay! I highly recommend staying here when you are in Porto! Just one caveat: There are no stairs to the apartment (it is on the 3rd floor), so if you are older/have mobility issues, that may be a problem.
