Excellent apartment, strictly new, with a fantastic private terrace of 31 m2 area and a fabulous view of the “Casa da Música” (House of Music) and surrounding area, with the sea on the horizon, facing west (beautiful sunset). This is a new building, with great finishes, located in a very nice and quiet place.
You can find two metro stations at 500 meters and an autobus station in front of the apartment building. In a few minutes you can reach the Porto Historical Center.
The airport it’s at 12 Km distance from the apartment. By metro it takes 22 minutes to the nearest apartment metro station that is “Casa da Música”.

We wanted to be out of the touristy area so this got the bill perfectly, yet close enough to walk.

We stayed 3 1/2 weeks to try and live a bit like a local and not “have” to do something every day. There’s plenty of space in the unit, full kitchen and a washer. The bedroom is a good size, bed was a little hard for me but I got used to it. Host very responsive and had goodies for us upon arrival. Great water pressure and plenty of hot water and has air conditioning if needed.

Great apartment

Everything in the apartment was excellent especially the air conditioning which we found worked well and where in the appropriate rooms. Sandra the host was really pleasant and accommodating in every way she even allowed us to have the apartment till the afternoon of our flight as no one was due to stay that day. The balcony was huge and there was ample outdoor furniture for us to use. All in all a great apartment.

Great apartment near Casa da Musica

Great hostess and very comfortable apartment with off street parking. Comfortable bed and efficient air conditioning. I really appreciated the the well stocked kitchen, with all the basics of preparing home cooked meals (salt, pepper, oil, foil etc.). Thank you Sandra for taking such good care of us.

The best place to stay in Porto - PERIOD

The people who own and manage the property were unbelievable. The took us on a 5 hour drive around the city on a Sunday afternoon to show us all of the sites in Porto and Gaia. A few days later, they took us for a 3 course lunch at one of the best restaurants in Porto with some American clients renting from them and no living n Porto. My wife was ill one night with an infection, and they called the sister of the owner, who is a doctor. She prescribed some anti-biotics and they drove picked them up, paid for them and brought them to the apartment. On the day we left, we needed a large station wagon type car to take us to the airport as we have two very large suitcases. They drove us to the airport, and we had to fight with them to pay them 10 euros for the gas. The view is great. In the distance we could see the ocean.. The location is just down the street from the Metro and the main bus to downtown stops right in front of the house. Super market is about a 7 minute walk tops.

We loved everything about this lovely apartment. Sandra was terrific and provided us a ton of information about the area and had great reference material at the apartment. Its not right in the city center but its very easy to get to my bus, metro or Uber. The view is outstanding. Wish all properties were this special!

Spacious accommodations in a convenient area

Very clean and comfortable apartment with a great view of the city. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a good grocery store within a short walking distance. Sandra was very efficient and her husband got up at 6am to check us out to catch an early flight! we enjoyed our stay very much as we had a car and were able to park and leave the car while we toured the city. Easy drive from the main highways in and out of Porto.

Beautiful Apartment

My husband and I loved this apartment. Everything about it was comfortable, well maintained, and updated. We liked staying out of the tourist center and being in an area where people actually lived. The old town and the tourist areas were a short metro ride away. A good grocery store was nearby, as were bakeries and cafes. We also loved the beautiful terrace with a view over the city. If we ever find ourselves in Porto again, I would want to stay here.

Myself and an old work colleague like to visit mainland Europe together, usually when my wife is visiting relatives in the Philippines. This is our second visit to this apartment and we really like it. Both times it was immaculately presented, and has all the equipment you need for a nice stay in Porto. It is in a nice modern well-kept block and has elevators, so you get the high views from the terrace without having to lug your stuff up flights of stairs. It has a very good sized double bedroom with lots of wardrobe space, and a convertible sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen is very well equipped with Bosch appliances including the washing machine. Also, there is a dishwasher. Also a lovely bathroom. The apartment is situated in a nice residential area. The Metro (tram) station is not far away and Sandra will give you all the information on how to use it. Once you know how, you can go almost anywhere on it. We actually also used it to go from the airport to the apartment, although we got a taxi when leaving because it was quite early (I think 16 Euro, but maybe a bit more in traffic). As far as Porto is concerned, it is very unique and special. Although it was our second visit we were still enthralled by it. There are so many places to visit you never get bored. You can walk on top of the Dom Luís I Bridge and have great views of the old town and the river. There are lots of bar/restaurants by the river where you can relax and watch the world go by. Sandra the owner is very nice, as are the Porto people in general. We hope to visit again in the not-too-distant future.

Lovely, comfortable flat with a view

The Musical View apartment was just perfect for us. The rooms are bright, airy, spotless, and spacious, the kitchen is well equipped with quality appliances and dishware, the shower has great water pressure, and the bed is very very comfortable. And then there’s the balcony: a gigantic, sunny space with granite floor and railing and a view to the ocean (and of course the Casa da Musica, for which the flat is named.) Our host, Sandra Sousa, sent a very complete guide to Porto when we booked, and followed that up with her personal directions to various places on a map of the city when we checked in. Her suggestions were very useful, especially her recommendation that we seek out the new Mercado Bom Sucesso a few blocks away. This became our favorite place to eat, grazing among delectable seafoods, pastry, risotto, sushi, fine wines and so much more. We also took her advice to use the Porto Metro using the stop around the corner, and that helped us reach spots downtown quickly and efficiently. Sandra provided us with a welcoming selection of local treats, including pastels de nata, juice, fresh fruit, and a small bottle of port wine which was a gracious touch. Sandra was also helpful when we had language difficulties trying to book our full day Douro River cruise, contacting the tour company so we could make our payment in a timely and secure way. We can’t thank Sandra enough for her gracious hospitality and for making Musical View such a welcoming place for travelers. We’ve traveled extensively and choose to rent villas and flats wherever we go. The quality of this flat puts it near the top of our “best” list.

Kommunikation mit der Vermieterin war sehr gut. Die Wohnung ist 1a eingerichtet. Sehr ruhig. Tiefgaragenstellplatz optimal. Der große Balkon lädt zum Frühstücken und Abendessen ein. Zu Fuß ist das Zentrum in ca. 20 min erreichbar. Supermarkt im die Ecke. Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen und können diese Wohnung nur weiter empfehlen!

Très bonne accueil par le propriétaire,qui est à votre écoute pour toutes vos questions. Très belle appartement,conforme à l’annonce : superbe terrasse ,intérieur très propre avec toutes ces fonctionnalité. On a aussi apprécié la climatisation.
