Fabulous apartment perfect for a city break in Porto. It is on the fourth floor with no elevator, but to be honest if that is a problem for you I would not recommend visiting Porto anyway. The apartment is clean, bright and airy, and has magnificent views from two of the bedrooms over the river. It has all the kitchen stuff you will need although to be honest we ate out most of the time. The location is great and most of the main Porto sites are within a short walk.

Clean and spacious apartment

When we arrived the property manager helped us up to our apartment.Great location close to city center. Only problem however was the property manager did not come to fix broken toilet or toaster.

Cute apartment in walkable location

This is a very easy place to stay. 4 flights up, galley kitchen, full bathroom 2nd floor but in a great location. Owners were very easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

Great location and place to stay!

This place was great! Granted not having a lift and hauling your luggage was brutal, but once up there, the apartment was perfectly located, clean, and check in/out was a breeze! With this location, we were able to walk EVERYWHERE and Porto was a gem to visit! Parking proved to be a bit of a challenge as the closest two garages were closed, but that had nothing to do with the apartment itself! We would absolutely come back again!

Fantastic Experience!

We had a wonderful time in Porto and the apartment was perfectly situated for everything we wanted to experience. We walked across the river and visited some of the Port companies, there are several great restaurants and pastry shops around the building, and the views from the apartment were spectactular. Luisa went above and beyond in helping us get ready for our stay and made the whole experience fantastic. You can't go wrong choosing this as your place to stay in Porto!

Good Location and Pretty Views from Bedroom

Communication was overall good with the hosts. They were very gracious to get us into the unit early after traveling overnight from the US. They also arranged airport pickup with their driver Mr. Silva, who is so sweet. He also drove us for a day trip to Douro Valley. The views from the two bedrooms are very pretty. The living room is interior to the inner courtyard of the building. The beds overall weren't the best comfort wise, but the larger bedroom in the back of the unit was definitely the most comfortable. The bedroom closest to the entry door is interior and did not have great air flow except for a small window near the ceiling that could be slightly opened. We experienced quite a bit of cigarette smoke entering that bedroom from a neighboring unit. Overall, the unit is cute. I would recommend more toiletries like toilet paper be made available for a unit that sleeps up to 6 people. However, this seemed to be the trend for everywhere we stayed in Portugal so not specific to this unit. We did experience some issues with our stay, but stayed in communication with the hosts and were ultimately able to resolve, which we were very appreciative of.

Gem in the heart of old Porto

We loved this apartment in the heart of it all - perfect for exploring Porto. Great location - we were able to walk everywhere. Stunning views across the city and a beautiful spot to catch the sunset. The apartment has so much character and was very clean. Beds were comfortable. Only downsides - bathroom is up another level which was not convenient and it is a 4th floor walk up so you will get lots of exercise! Don’t miss The Door restaurant right around the corner - outstanding meal!

Very clean, comfortable and well-equipped apartment. Beautiful views of the river from 2 bedrooms. Nice neighborhood, close to many attractions and areas of interest. The location in the midst of the old town is what we wanted, but it is on a steep hill… like everything in Porto. The hostess Luisa was kind, helpful and available if needed. Initially, we were concerned that there was no air conditioning. However, the temperature inside the apartment was always pleasant even in mid-July when we were there. We greatly enjoyed our stay.

Top Floor View with a built-in stair workout!

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Communication was fantastic, the rooms were comfortable and it was quiet neighborhood (well except for the seagulls 😏) When it says stairs and no elevator it is very accurate. It is the top unit, 4th floor, and what it doesn't say is that the one bathroom is up another set of stairs within the apartment. Also, keep in mind the city itself is very hilly. It's a great city, a great apartment and we would return.

Beautiful Porto

This property is as described and was nicely furnished. Beds were comfortable. View out of 2 of the bedroom windows was beautiful. Listing warns that it is on the 4th story but we weren’t quite prepared for how hilly Porto was - sometimes that last flight seem endless when we came home! Great location at top of town - easy to tour from. Most sensible parking is at bottom of town however. We drove from Lisbon and had a day trip to Douro Valley.

This place was truly a home away from home. Luisa and Ligia manage the details and the experience to be welcoming. They are responsive to questions and helpful every step of the way. The place is very nice and homey. The bathroom is up a flight of stairs, which is a bit odd, but the upside is you get a lot of privacy! This apartment is on the 4th floor, with 79 steps, so you will earn those Pastels de natas. The location is perfect, just steps from a gorgeous overlook spot. The neighborhood is quiet. We would stay here again next time in Porto. Luisa will become a fast friend and go above and beyond to make your experience in Porto memorable.

Beautiful apartment in a great location!

We had a wonderful stay here with our family of four (two young children). The apartment looked just like the pictures, was well equipped and clean and had so much space to relax. Luisa was the perfect host - so helpful and thoughtful. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go from the apartment during our stay in Porto - we would def come back!

Lovely stay in Porto!

My family and I stayed in Porto for just under a week. This lovely apartment was perfect for us, the location was very central, many bars and restaurants and great shopping at the doorstep. The views of the river from the front balcony were wonderful. What really made the stay so special for us was the host Luisa, she was very warm, knowledgeable and accommodating. When our train was canceled due to a strike the day we were meant to leave she was very understanding and helped us to find a solution to our problems. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. Luisa thank you so much! Next time we are in Porto this will be our first stop! Julia

Amazing Stay in Porto

If we could give a higher rating than 5 we would. Everything about our experience here was amazing. The hosts were soooo incredible and helpful and we loved the apartment. Tucked away from the hustle of tourism but a short 3 minute walk to all of the action... an ideal location with incredible views as well

Magnificent Location Worth the Steps.

Porto is a city of steep walking. We stayed on the top floor apartment. Once we got there it was worth all the effort. An extremely comfortable apartment with fantastic views of the city. Located close to many points of interest and excellent restaurants.

Beautiful and spacious!

Our family loved the penthouse apartment and it’s amazing views. The apartment’s three bedrooms comfortably fit our family of five. The location is very near the city center and two spectacular scenic overlooks, not to mention the amazing views from the balcony of the master bedroom. We also found several excellent restaurants within short walking distance. The apartment managers are extremely friendly and responsive and helped us arrange transportation to and from the airport and train station (when we traveled to Lisbon). We would visit Porto and stay here again in a heartbeat!!

Best inner decorations and location

A very spacious apartment with best view from balcony. Modern inner decoration, clean and whole preparation for visitors. Close by to most must see places within short walking distance and couple small restaurants with best foods at very good price. And the apartment manager communicated with me at most prompt responses and giving me some very good suggestions including arranging taxi to pick up & send my family to train station. Hope everyone enjoys this stay.

Beautiful place for our family of 6.

We had an amazing stay the the Sao Miguel Penthouse apt. The apartment was clean, safe and slept our family of 6 comfortably. The view from the bedroom is spectacular. You can see all the way to the river. We kept the windows open at night to enjoy the cool breeze. (No AC, but stayed cool even in the month of August 2021) Everything we needed was in the apartment. The 4 story walk up was a bit of a hassle with the kids, after exploring the hilly city. We definitely got our workout! Location was perfect. It is walking distance to all the sights. Louisa was a pleasure. She was able to answer all questions and gave fantastic recommendations. She even helped the kids and I brush up on the Portuguese language. We would definitely stay here again if we travel back to Porto. Thank you again!

Fabulous apartment with views of Douro river and nearby church. In the heart of the old town but beware the hills to climb as well as the four flights of stairs to the apartment. Luisa was incredibly helpful and would definitely recommend.
