Great value Porto hotel

Traditional two star hotel within walking distance of central Porto. We ere able to get a space in the underground carpark which was an added plus. Staff were excellent and very friendly. rooms a bit dated, but it sort of adds to the charm. Simple breakfast offered, but exceptional value

Average 2 star hotel in quiet location with very few restaurants, shops or bars nearby. It was a good 30 minute walk to the city centre and a 10 minute walk to the nearest metro station. Basic breakfast and hotel room, with no fridge, kettle or safe.

Great, friendly staff. Conveniently located. Large patio\balcony off the room. The room was next to the back of the elevator and you could hear it going up and down. The shower head kept droopping down. Nice hot water. I would recommend hotel

Hotel needs urgently renovation. Old floors chipping, gappings between planks. Seems that had water damage before. Room 602 Mattress too hard. Customer service was very good. Breakfast basic but good. Parking space small but free. Overall I give a 3 star because free parking, 3 blocks away from Marques Metro station (three stops away to downtown) and very helpful people. Property needs renovation.

In general I'm happy with my stay at Palanca Hotel. It is dated, simple but pratical. Spacious bedroom, reasonable storage space, a table and chair. The toilet has a bath with shower (No hair dryer). I could here the elevator up and down, people shutting their door. But at night it gets quiet enough to rest and have a good sleep.The breakfast was great with a selection of bread rolls, butter and jam, ham and cheese slices, yogurt , coffee, milk, cocoa powder, cereals, juice and teas selection too. The check in and check out was quick and easy. The owners and staff were friendly. So I certainly recommend it to everyone for the price it's certainly worthwhile.
