It is a lovely old property. The bedrooms are quite small & a wee bit worn but had a comfortable bed with beautiful linens. The bathroom looked newer. Very ornate marble with a good shower. Parking in the grounds was a bonus. The small bar was nice for drinks & snacks. Its in a good location to walk down to the buzz but a steep hill on the way back

Just back from a 4 night stay. Can't fault Catarina, spotlessly clean, amazing staff that can't do enough for you and full of local information. Breakfast is amazing with lots of choice. Would definitely stay again

The staff was great - always ready to provide advice on things to see and do in Porto. The provided breakfast service was also great. I liked the location, close to the historic area of town, but just far enough that if driving a car you could in and out of the hotel area easily to visit sites outside the city. My room was new, large, and comfortable. Great place to stay for leisure or work.

This hotel is a stunning oasis in a fairly gritty section of Porto. We came up the street looking for the hotel and could not believe that it could possibly be on that street after the pictures we had seen online, but it is as beautiful in person as it is shown. Our room was big and bright with a beautiful bathroom. The breakfast room is absolutely gorgeous and the breakfast was substantial. The staff was terrific and very helpful. While we did not care for the neighborhood much and they were very limited restaurants, but it was only a five minute walk to a metro. Even though the neighborhood was not desirable would still highly recommend this hotel due to its beauty and excellent breakfast.

Beautiful castle!!

This hotel is a little out of the tourist area- a plus for us. It is beautiful and like staying at an exclusive estate. The staff at the desk and at breakfast couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. Breakfast was varied and tasty. This was a wonderful experience!!!
