It was very good. The only thing I didn’t like was that the shower was not part of the bathroom, it was just completely open with no sort of privacy. The bed was right next to it and there was no frosted glass or anything.
Hotel is really cute and location is prime! The supposedly 24/7 chat wasn’t actually 24/7 but the overnight front desk person was very nice and helpful!
The room and hotel overall were very clean and cutely decorated. Great use of an older building! Please note, since this was in the Pacific Northwest, there was an air of dampness even in the room but I attribute that to the weather not any falling on the hotel. The white noise machine and room specific temperature control was a bonus!
This is not a hotel, and Expedia shouldn't be listing this as one in its searches for hotels!
This is a hostel, and it was an awful stay. The "private bathroom" we were given was a public bathroom with a code to get in. This code worked on all the bathrooms in the building and anyone else in the building with the code could use the bathroom on our floor. I did not understand that our room didn't have a bathroom until after checking in.
I'm 50. So when I woke up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I had to bring my phone so that I had the code, my reading glasses so I could see my phone, and walk down a long hallway to get to the bathroom. It's not the same as having a bathroom in one's hotel room. And without that, it's not a hotel, it's a hostel.
I will not be back and I do not recommend this property.
Incredible space with everything you need. A true Portland experience! Details were on point, even down to an in room record player! The location cannot be beat!
