We had a really nice stay at the Hyatt House in Portland for a last-minute Mother's Day trip with the family. It was an easy drive from Seattle. The room setup was great for us – quaint apartment, with a sofa bed for the kids and a separate bedroom for my husband and me, which was very convenient. I especially liked the shower; it was surprisingly spacious and reminded me of the one we have at home. The kids enjoyed the view of the river from our room, liked the breakfast, and had a good time swimming in the pool. We're definitely planning to come back on a future trip!

Great stay, horrible parking

The hotel was great. Great location, spacious room, nice patio deck. However, the parking situation was a joke - $62 a day for valet parking?? There are 2 public parking options 50 ft. down the street which are $18/day. The only hassle is that you have to drag your bags down the sidewalk to get to the hotel.
