In the heart of the Normandy landing beaches, Port en Bessin authentic small artisanal fishing and pleasure port of Calvados renowned for its scallops located 10 minutes from Omaha Beach, 10 minutes from Arromanches and its artificial harbor, 10 minutes Bayeux and its tapestry and cathedral, 30 minutes from the Caen memorial, 1h30 from Mont Saint Michel and 3h00 from Paris.

Charming atmosphere for this apartment located on the 2nd floor of our Capitainerie building composed of only two floors located on the harbor front with a magnificent view of the comings and goings of the boats.
Completely renovated apartment with high-end services, direct view of the port and sea view on your left.
The apartment includes a large living area with fully equipped open kitchen (pyrolysis oven, Senseo coffee machine, toaster, kettle, microwave, fridge, washer-dryer, induction hob, extractor hood), separate wc, sitting area with a large convertible sofa of very high quality for regular sleeping for 2 people 140x190 (mattress 18cm), 81cm flat screen TV with DVD player, hi-fi, Ipod station.

You can enjoy the local market next to the building every Sunday morning.

Everything was amazing. Ocean view. Restaurants right out of the doorstep. Shopping plentiful. Apartment was perfect size for two. Shower had excellent water pressure and heat. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well appointed. Host met us for checking in and was very helpful and kind. Will rent again for sure she did everything to ensure we had a good time and were informed on the area

Thia lls apartment more than lived up to its listing on VRBO. It is quite simply lovely. The decor, furnishings and bedding were all so nice. The kitchen is very well stocked and having the washer dryer was very handy. The view out the windows over the working marina is so tranquil. This place was simply divine. Our host, Geraldine, was super communicative and very helpful. She was very sweet to check on us throughout our stay. Very walkable area with many wonderful restaurants and a fabulous creperie around the corner. We would stay here again.

A lovely apartment

12 nights in the centre of a lively fishing port - an excellent stay. A well equipped apartment directly overlooking the port. Shops and cafes close at hand. Parking in the area was free and plentiful and never far from the apartment.Geraldine was an excellent caring host who made sure we were settled in well. There was even a hospitality package.

Beautiful place, perfect location!

This suite is immaculate and very comfortable! Geraldine, our host, was prompt with her communication and was extremely helpful in letting us the where to eat and what to visit. The location was excellent as it is close to all beaches, located where all the cafes and restaurants are. If I were to come back to Port en Bessen I would definitely be rebooking this place without hesitation.

Lovely apartment with fabulous views of the port. It had everything you needed for your stay and lots of restaurants and shops on your doorstep. This location is AMAZING! Right in the heart of all the festivities! Tons of restaurants,shops and all of the incredible history! Geralding was an incredible hostess! Fabulous Views, Busy Area

This quaint apartment is located over a restaurant in a busy area of Port-en-Bessin. Geraldine is wonderful to work with. The location has lovely views of water and boats. Being over a restaurant can be a bit noisy at times especially on Sunday with the Farmers Market (and the smell of food!). It is so wonderful being close to Bayeux and D-Day beaches. Highly recommend!

Great Place!

Geraldine was a great host that communicated very early and often. She met us at the property, showed us how things worked, gave us pointers on what to see and where to eat. The apartment has been updated and is decorated nicely. If we are ever back that way again, we will definitely look her up and stay here again. We will also recommend it to anyone that we know that is staying in the area.

Great place to visit Normandy and areas

Geraldine’s apartment couldn’t be better. The location is perfect for visiting the Normandy WWII areas as well as other areas around like Mont Saint Michel and Etretat. The apartment had everything you needed. Geraldine meets you for checkin to ensure everything was in order and provided helpful hints of the area. She was always available for questions and checked in with us during our stay to make sure we were ok. The apartment was clean, great area, communication was great so no complaints and would recommend her apartment when visiting the area.

If we could give 10 stars! Starting with communication with the host- very helpful and available if we needed anything. The apartment itself was very clean and cozy - just as pictured and simply wonderful. It was stocked with everything we needed including wine! The location is perfect- excellent views of the water and the village, there are plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from and is a perfect home base for exploring the area. We did NOT want to leave this apartment and would 100 percent stay here again!

Lovely Home on the Quai

Wonderful location. The flat is thoughtfully decorated and well equipped. Parking was easy in the car park up the street and shops and restaurants are at the doorstep. We visited for the 75th anniversary of D-Day and while the days were hectic and long we were happy to come back to our flat. Geraldine is a kind and gracious host and we hope to return again on our next visit to Normandy.

This Flat is absolutely amazing! The owner, Geraldine was waiting for us to check us in when we arrived. She was extremely helpful! This Flat has everything you need. The bed and pullout sleeper are supper comfy and this place is immaculate. Exceeded our expectations in every way. Geraldine was always available to help with places to see and restaurants to eat at. She even made us dinner reservations! We will definitely be back as we have stayed in many AirBnB’s and this one is exceptional!!

Mitten im Geschehen

Wir hatten zwei wundervolle Wochen in Port-en Bessin. Die Wohnung ist sehr gemütlich, schön eingerichtet und liegt direkt an der Hafenpromenade. Das Kommen und Gehen der Fischerboote und das wöchentlich stattfindende Feuerwerk konnten wir direkt von der Wohnung aus betrachten. Der Markt war um die Ecke, ebenso sind zwei Bäckereien, Restaurants und ein kleiner Supermarkt direkt vor Ort. Wer allerdings Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit sucht, sollte sich nach einer anderen Unterkunft umsehen oder in der Nebensaison fahren. Sehr nervig war allerdings der direkt am Haus und am Laternenmast gegenüber installierte Lautsprecher (die übrigens im gesamten Ort zu finden sind), der uns an den Festtagen zusätzlich zum Trubel auf der Straße an Festtagen im Rund dauerbeschallt hat.

Second floor, with a perfect view on harbour ob pitoresque village of Port-en-Bessin. The flat offers all what you need! Géraldine gave us very good suggestions for restaurants and activities!
