Welcome to Zeemon Cottage—your warm and comfortable winter retreat in Port Clinton. This classic Lake Erie cottage is perfect for cozy getaways, off-season fishing trips, remote work escapes, and relaxed weekends exploring local wineries, breweries, and year-round restaurants.

Inside, the main floor features two comfortable bedrooms with cozy bedding, blackout curtains, and TVs—ideal for winding down after a chilly day by the lake. The full bathroom, located on the main level, includes essential amenities and plenty of towels for your stay.

Upstairs, the sleeping loft offers two double beds and two single beds, giving families and small groups lots of flexibility. Please note:
• The loft is accessed through the full bathroom
• The stairs are steep and narrow, typical of older Lake Erie cottages
• The loft has lower, angled ceilings

The fully equipped kitchen is ready for simple meals, warm breakfasts, or slow winter dinners after exploring the area. You’ll find a refrigerator/freezer, stove/oven, microwave, coffee maker, cookware, and dining essentials.

The living area provides a welcoming place to relax with Smart TV, Wi-Fi, board games, and comfortable seating—perfect for movie nights, card games, or staying productive if you’re working remotely.

Outside, you’ll enjoy a covered porch and convenient off-street parking. The neighborhood stays peaceful during the winter months and offers quick access to marinas, fishing spots, bait shops, local eateries, and scenic spots along the lake. For the warmer winter days, you'll find a fish cleaning station, outdoor grill and outdoor seating area under a covered deck with some Lake Erie views in the winter.

You’ll be just minutes from year-round restaurants, coffee shops, local marinas, and some of the region’s best winter fishing spots along Lake Erie and the Portage River. The Jet Express is nearby, and while island service is seasonal, the waterfront area remains a scenic place for walks and photos throughout the colder months.

Winter in Port Clinton is quiet and charming, with fewer crowds and easy access to cozy indoor experiences—like wineries, breweries, boutique shops, and local events. The cottage sits close enough to Lake Erie to catch glimpses of the water from the yard and street, offering that unmistakable lakeside feel even during the snowy season.

Please note:
This is an older cottage with plenty of charm and a few quirks. The stairs to the loft are steep and narrow with limited headroom, and the loft is reached through the full bathroom downstairs. The half bath upstairs is open concept with no door.
Because of the cottage’s proximity to Lake Erie, seasonal bugs like mayflies or gnats may appear during warmer months and are harmless to humans.

Other things to note: We only provide a starter pack of toiletries, paper towels, and trash bags. Typically enough for an average-sized family lasts 3-4 days. If you run out, please supply your own as needed.

We provide a propane grill for guests to use. However, we do not manage/refill the propane tanks. If you happen to run out of gas, we ask that you exchange the tank at one of the local stores.
