The rooms were freshly renovated with cute touches and extras such as makeup remover wipes. The shampoo and lotion smell fantastic. Unfortunately my husband and I did not like the mattress and pillows. We both had uncomfortable sleep and back / neck pain from them. My kids seems to like them though.

Cute and cozy room. Smaller on the size, but the design was beautiful! And the pool was very clean. The bathroom door didn’t shut without being pushed, and one of the beds frames was slightly cracked, but other than that, no complaints. The food choices were pretty good, and the Blue moon ice cream shop had so many options! Everything closes pretty early during the week, so check times to plan your day out!

The property was clean and updated. The staff was great. The WifFi did not work, and cable was was sketchy at best. Not great if you wanted to watch TV at night or check messages if you to have a working vacation.

The renovated Sun n Sand is so much better than it used to be! Great job by the new owners. They’re still doing construction so that’s a bit intrusive to your stay but not a big deal. We also didn’t have extra toilet paper when we arrived but they fixed it although without the owners on site it takes a bit of time to get service. Otherwise I would have given it 5 stars.

The renovations and updates at the property were very well thought out. We were super comfortable here. We didn't realize until we arrived how centrally located it was for everything we wanted to do and see as we had never been to this area before. We plan to visit the area again and would stay here for certain.

We loved the inside of the rooms. The beach area is a bit small but perfect if u have little kids or just want to watch the sunrise n sunsets. We will be back for sure.

The renovations were great. Place was spotless and you could tell brand new. Would definitely stay there again. Convenient to the town. Only complaint is there should be a rubber mat or grab bar in the shower as it was a little slippery. Other than that - beautiful place!

A Family Resort

The room was very nice, and clean. Need to remember children are welcome, so it can be loud at times. Pool was clean, but could have been warmer. The owner is very accommodating and professional. I would recommend Sun and Sand for younger families, with children.

Room was clean and brand new, however the hot water was lukewarm at best and the bathroom faucet needs to be tightened down. Remodel is really nice and the room was very nicely decorated. We will definitely be back. Thanks for saving our pillows too!

Lovely accommodations near Pt Austin

The room was very nice and very updated. The retro appliances (just "retro" style and brand new) were very fun and added to our stay. Lots of great linens in the bathroom. We love Pt Austin area and were very pleased to find a nice local resort that was two miles from town.
