The beach was dirty, with sargazo and brown color. The food had not variety. The personnel was not friendly, and even m when I asked for a drink, the worker told me it was self service, but with bad attitude. The best one, and honoring the Mayan roots was Noe. He was friendly, educated and always trying his best to serve us promptly.

En las áreas comunes los baños no tienen aire acondicionado, ni siquiera un ventilador y el calor es insoportable. Los cockteles con alcohol son solo jarabe dulce no están bien preparados. Necesitan poner una malla para el sargazo en la playa el olor a podrido por tanto sargazo en la playa fue horrible. Ni siquiera se antojaba estar tomando el sol junto a la playa.

Was perfect for a six day relaxing getaway. I did request a room away from the action (quiet location) room through Expedia, at time of booking, that was not accommodated- which was a bit disappointing- but certainly didn’t greatly impede much.

The rooms did not have any drinks in the mini fridge, most resorts have water, beer and soda. The buffet food was the worst I’ve ever experienced in 14 years of going to Mexico. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained but the service was terrible. No room service and I got violently ill and had to check out two days early and I was not able to get a refund for these days. The cab/taxie service was terrible, double what I should have paid. In all, I will never go back to this chain of resorts.

I didn't like that when i first got there, they didn't show me where my room was so I got lost and it was hot and i was very tired since i had been up since 1am. Other than that, the place is very clean and the staff is amazing...... i would return there again for a future vacation

We have been going here and the Azteca three doors down for 20 years. We love them both. We like that it is not a high-priced bougie place. keep it up, Wyndham. We have been Club Viva members for almost 15 years and love the value.

I have been to this region many, many times. I've not been to Playa del Carmen in many years; I usually stay further south. One thing to keep in mind, the main buffet is upstairs and there is no elevator. That made it very difficult for people who are especially overweight and for elderly in wheelchairs. There is a ramp so that people can go upstairs that way. But it was awful for a lot of people since it was literally, an uphill battle to get food. The pools could really use some attention. Especially, the adult pool. The first day I reported it to the front desk, and very little was done. There was a scum/film across the surface of the pool. And the tile at the water line, was completely gross with gunked up body oil, suntan oil, filth. I would never put my head under water in that pool. They never really addressed the issue. I even have photos if I can post them at some point. The specialty restaurants were very nice. I enjoyed the Italian restaurant one night. The housekeepers did a very good job and took great care of the rooms. Yhe landscape throughout the entire hotel was very, very nice.
