Location is a 10 Resort is clean staff is friendly Entertainment was pretty good Food average Silent party and DJ were fun. Our room was the issue. We had ants housekeeping did spray but they came right back. The ceiling in bathroom had a leak, and the motion sensor that controls the lights was broken so it shut off like every 20 secs very annoying when trying to shower or get ready. Room was 4307 and it was street side. It was VERY noisy there was a club right across the street and it was very hard to sleep. I would return if I were guaranteed not to be in that building and if I had a room without the issues we had.

Great service all around. Everyone was so friendly. Mario and his bartender pal at the lobby bar and Daniel at the private pool side service we're our stars! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly from the moment we stepped out of the shuttle. It is a beautiful property with lots to do and see. Next to a beautiful local area full of options. We stayed for a week and it was an amazing experience! The staff are very friendly and welcoming and they do all they can to make the guests happy. The restaurants have great food and nice ambiance. The day and night activities are very diverse and you have something new every day so you don’t feel bored. Big shout out to Karol Arias who helped me in the dinner reservations and was very flexible with the changes I made during my stay. I would definitely come back to this resort ❤️

The staff was amazing!!! I cant say that enough. In a world that doesnt care about customer service anymore, the staff was OUTSTANDING!! The dining options were perfect. The entertainment was great! The grounds were well kept and beautiful. Not so great things were...The room did have a wet mildew smell. The upcharge for everything added up quickly. The sales team for their playa collection should approach guests on their second or third day vs immediately after checkin. Guests are exhausted from traveling and just want to relax. Overall we loved it and cant wait to bring our friends and family back!

Staff was amazing but the property has gone a bit downhill since it was the Royale. There is a lot of upcharging they try to lock you in with different dinner reservations that cost an arm and a leg and they wont let you cancel them. I had to speak with the manager at the end of our stay to get one removed as we were sick snd could not make a reservation we made. Theres only 5 places to eat and maybe 2 of them are ok. The rest were not that great. Pool closes down at 5pm. There is literally only 1 place youre allowed to smoke and thats out front of the resort. So they expect you to walk a half mile from your room any time you want to smoke. No top shelf anything unless you pay for it. Beach is terrible. The only upside to this resort is the staff and proximity to 5th street. Thats it. I will not return.

This all inclusive is in the center of town so if you like to interact directly with the culture, it is a great option because you also don't have to leave the property if you prefer. I love the shows every night, this is a first all inclusive and not having to deal with tips and money was the most relaxing because the service was so damn good. The waitpeople were polite, nice, efficient and helpful. I can't say enough. The alcohol quality was my basic, but not low. I loved it. One Mexican local IPA would be a great addition but not needed. My wife and I loved this place. Hadn't been to Playa del Carmen in 25 years and this hotel made a wonderful stay. Favorites... THe asian restaurant and the waiter we had their 2 times, the taller waitress at the shows, she was great, our housekeeper and masseuses, and our check in clerk on day one. The photographer was great too. The pool area is sooo fun with a hot food snack booth. I feel you thought of almost everything! Great job to all of you from the staff all the way thru top management.

Would recommend and would go back. The property is very well maintained, the staff is plentiful and all really nice, the accommodations are spacious and comfortable. There is ample poolside and beach side seating with full sun, partial sun and limited/no sun options. The property is large and depending on where you are staying, it can be a little bit of a walk to get to a desired destination— which can be frustrating sometimes, but there is also a lot to do. The restaurant options are decent, but the food was average.. the only spectacular meal was when we opted for a romantic dinner on our balcony. Would HIGHLY recommend— 10/10. The property is right on the water and beach was never too crowded. It is less than 5 minutes to 5th Avenue, which was fun and felt safe. Only thing I wish they would have done differently is being immediately solicited at check in to sit in on a sales pitch. After traveling all day it’s not really the first conversation you want to have when first checking in to a new destination. They entice you with a $200 voucher and the sales pitch is a minimum of 90 minutes (for us was over two hours) which they want you to do the very next morning. It didn’t feel considerate or respectful of our time. It felt like their agenda was more important than our time. Aside from that, enjoyed the property and again would recommend and go back.
