The Terrace Rook menu was very limited. The condition of the property was ok but there look to be areas that need maintenance or some sprucing up throughout the hotel, including the ballroom areas on the 17th floor.

The positives of our stay were that the staff were very kind and helpful, and the hotel was surprisingly clean. Even the corners of the rooms and weird little ledges on the furniture were spotless. It was genuinely impressive. And the lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. It reminded me of the grand art deco hotel lobbies in NYC. The negatives are that beyond the friendly service and clean spaces, this hotel doesn’t consider guest conveniences. There aren’t a lot of mid range restaurants around this hotel. There are mostly all either crazy pricey chains or sketchy convenience type places. The hotel advertises several on site restaurants and a coffee shop, but the coffee shop closes early afternoon and when we were there, the main restaurant was closed for a private function. We ended up having to order Door Dash because the other on site restaurant was super small and just wasn’t meant to handle the number of guests trying to eat. It was terrible judgment on the part of management to close the main restaurant on a Saturday evening. It’s just horribly inconsiderate of the guests. And to have no good options for a cup of coffee beyond a questionable room Keurig just doesn’t exude good guest experience. There was also a wedding reception on the floor above us, and the music was so loud until 11:00 that our floor was actually vibrating. The staff was great about taking care of us and offered us a room switch, but guests should never be placed below a loud event like that

Front desk staff upon our arrival became confused about the request for a wheelchair to transport my family member to the room. I asked once. Waited for 8-10 minutes more, I inquired again. The staff member appeared confused and the other one told him to call ? (was inaudible to me). This was after I already asked the initial staff member. He did not relay the message to the secondary staff member or take any action to assist. When personally checking out with front desk staff, I relayed my car was valet parked. The employee made a call to retrieve my car. I thought this was taken care of. When we noticed several groups of people leaving the hotel that were waiting before and with us, plus additional new people leaving, I inquired again outside to the valet manager explaining the front desk had called, he retrieved a paper and said, "you are clear at the top, you didn't tell me!" He was very rude and clearly raised his voice to me. It was unprofessional. Front desk had already made the call. I was unaware (because no one told me) I also had to initiate the retrieval of my valeted vehicle. Palm Court staff was also very rude and told us we were not preferred to sit at a table for multiples when we were only 2. We were willing to give business. When we were begrudgingly sat at the table, our service was slow having to ask several times for food/drinks. This is our second time staying here. We will not stay again. Staff overall was rude and very disorganized.
