We got there, had to park valet to park at the hotel, 39 dollars. A bunch of us running around parking garage because no one showed us where to go, finally checked in, elevators were down, there was an event and it was packed, they wanna charge 16 bucks for a typical hotel breakfast, couldn’t get coffee in morning free as usual other hotels, they charge 5 dollars for a cup, the link to get our car for valet didn’t work, they charge for everything here, there was no courtesy such as I know valet is 40 dollars and no one showed you where to go and the elevators were down in this 20 story hotel, will comp you atleast valet, nope, nothing, not even a free breakfast, the one time my wife and I traveled the stairs 17 floors, they didn’t ask how the stay was at checkout because they knew people would complain, how are you gonna have so many issues especially during an event and not have the courtesy to comp anything?

This hotel is old. The carpets are dirty, they had mold in the room, and the AC wasn't working. The closet has a nasty smell to it as well. By far the worst Hilton hotel I've said in. The staff was wonderful and very helpful allowing us to swap rooms but we decided to cancel the second night and stay elsewhere. Honestly the building needs to be renovated.

Eventhough facility promising to provide a valet and onsite parking that was not the stiuation. Very same day there was a Pittsburgh Penquins game and all the parking facility was dedicated to event parking. We were refused by the valet parking people and we parked at US Steel building. My father who is 82 years old barely walked all the way from the parking lot to the hotel. As i mentioned the front desk about this they told me in an arrogant way that it is got nothing to do with them. I reminded them the offerings of the facility but they were still not taking any responsibility or even apologized. Otherwise, the hotel definitely needs renovation, shows it age in all means, cleanness was ok. Location wise it is OK but there are many different hotels around and this hotel unfortunately far away from making any difference. The grill was around average, buffet breakfast on weekends and very poor menu for the weekdays. The stuff for the grill was friendly and nice. Overall, as family we will be keep on visiting Pittsburgh as our son possibly do undergraduate at PITT but the thing is that we will never again stay in this hotel that prioritize the event parking people on top of their guest. Doubletree is my favorite hotel to stay at when traveling. The rooms are spacious and accommodating. Everything is clean. The staff goes above and beyond when it comes to customer service. And the fresh baked cookies are delicious when checking in! I will always come back to any doubletree hotel!

Great location... everything else... "ok at best"

We loved the location, staff and valet were great...but this was not up to the Hilton Standard we selected this hotel for. Overall the property seemed really old, and not updated, and here are some of the negatives we picked out. 1. Pool was unheated and was inside, so this was like a freezing bath, who would actually use this? 2. Bathroom had no fan or ventilation 3. Room had a light flashing from the Co2/Smoke detector at night 4. Bedroom for suite had no privacy lock Do better Hilton for these prices. Jason

When we arrived we were informed the hotel parking structure was full and would have to park in the US Steel building "lot across the street". The lot is beneath the US Steel building, accessed by a multi-spiral ramp that will not accommodate anything larger that a standard half ton pickup 6'-0" tall. There were no directions in how to park, where to park or how to get back to the hotel and parking has the be paid when you park. Thankfully the security guard in the building was very helpful. After returning, we were assigned our room, which had two full size beds (NOT queens), despite the fact that we reserved a king room. The room was out of shampoo and conditioner. On top of that, we paid for free breakfast but were told that we should have received a voucher, which they did provide in the morning. This was the LEAST pleasurable trip I've had with Doubletree and will not likely return to this venue.

The reason why I rated low was that I had to pay extra for parking. the ‘valet’ service wasn’t not given as an option and cost roughly 5 $50 a day! In addition, I had to keep waiting for access to my car. I did love the exercise room and enjoyed the Peloton bike and weights!

We stayed here to attend the Pittsburgh Penguins game. It was about a 3 min walk to the arena. When we arrived we were greeted and offered fresh warm cookies - my kids loved that part! Would definitely stay here again!
