We were in town for a show and PPG is across the street. Perfect spot. Prior to the show, the hotel had drinks, hamburgers and hotdogs on the patio (for a fee). I’m not a beef hotdog fancy but these were delicious. I think a local brand. Nice room, quiet considering we were all there for a concert. No complaints!

Overall perfect location for this visit. A few takeaways, parking explanation from checkin could have been better- Breakfast onsite was tasty but out of staple items like croissants and syrup that are on menu. Waiter very nice but should definitely let you know prior to ordering outages.

I liked the area of the hotel Something that I would change and suggest about the hotel is updating their rooms. I noticed a lot of broken furniture near the fridge and microwave area. Also, I tried to use the fridge in the room and it wasn’t working. It wasn’t making anything cold. I brought my own cooler also for this reason. Another thing that I was not pleasant about is in the shower. There is no sliding door so the other half of the shower is open and all the water comes out. One other thing is that a person is already paying to stay for the time they are staying at the hotel. There shouldn’t be a parking fee that should be complementary with the hotel The fee is very high for the parking. They are charging almost $40 per day. So the complete state would cost so much more extra money The pool could be bigger

Disappointed

The room price was increased for the event at PPG arena, which was taking place that night, That was to be expected. However, I did not expect to pay $350 for a room that was in such poor condition. I was so disappointed in the condition of the room. The room was very dusty. Every surface was covered in dust. The carpet throughout the entire room was stained and filthy. I never took off my shoes. The makeup mirror in the bathroom was falling off the wall, making it unusable. The wallpaper was patched in areas. The bedside table lamp was broken. I was so disappointed. I have stayed here before and it was lovely. We booked this room since we were going to the show at PPG. It kind of put a damper on our evening.

Dirty, one elevator did not work so you waited every single time. Mold all throughout the ice machine (look inside of it if you dare) first room ac was broken they moved me across the hall. Shower was to the point you felt dirtier after using it. The bed was a rock. Just expensive for a 2 star hotel . Find someplace else.

In a busy part of town as it is RIGHT next to PPG, which is why so many stay there. Room was dated and a bit dirty. There are other hotels that will earn our stay before we return.

Bring a compact car

Parking lot that comes along with the hotel is for compact cars only, so our Ram truck was very hard to park. We must have missed that info when booking. Our towels were huge and comfy. Had to take the stairs to level 3 after an event because several other guests were waiting in line for the elevator. Breakfast was a bit pricey. Overall good stay.

I liked the convenience of the hotel, but our room had wet stains on the carpet and the bathroom was not as clean as I thought it should be. There were multiple hairs and small areas of dirt. We didn’t mention anything to the front desk because we didn’t get into our room until after 10 & went right to sleep. It wasn’t awful enough to make us complain, but definitely not as clean as it should have been. Everything else was fine.

AWFUL

AC unit did not work. Remained around 75°, we took the filters out unit cleaned them off, they were at least 1/4inch thick with dust. AC unit then appeared to work again (assuming only the fan was running no cold air) maintenance didn’t come in about complaint until about 2 pm the day after the complaint.. the guy who asked if it was working was VERY rude; seemed like we were an inconvenience… we thought the AC was fine because it was running didn’t realize it was just the fan. so we did say we think it’s ok for now.. per the thermostat on the wall it remained 75°-79°. Since we seemed to have inconvenienced this man once we did not feel appropriate to recall him up here to be awful to me. Upon our return back to the hotel at 11:30 pm on 7/22; realized fan only working the whole time. read “cool” but 77° this time. The bathroom shower was DISGUSTING; the floor in the shower was very visibly dirty, in a very obvious has not been scrubbed and wiped down with bleach or shower cleaner in months at least. The caddy’s on the wall in the bathroom had BLACK MOLD on them. I voiced my concern VIA text and received no response Visible dust all over everything in this room! Due to the conditions of the room it flared up my allergies - leading to a rattle chest cough, also irritated my eyes resulting in resulting gunky, goopy eyes that were swollen when waking up on check out morning

This hotel was fantastic. The parking is very simple and easy and one of the cheaper onsite parking hotels in downtown Pittsburgh. Check in was a breeze and the front desk has a small shop next to it for drinks and snacks that you can just charge to the room! The room was amazing and spacious and very clean. The only complaint is the shower doesn’t have a door. Only half of the shower is closed and water gets all over the floor. The bed was nice and the air flow was phenomenal. Perfect if you have an event to go to at ppg paints because it’s right there. Also a fantastic pizza place open late night right behind it! Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
