Room was clean and quiet. Only complaint is that you could tell that someone previously smoked in the room. It wasn't very strong but you could tell that there was an attempt to remove the smell but it lingered. Air freshener helped and opening the balcony door helped reduce it.

This hotel has a strict policy of not cancelling any reservation even you have a solid reason to do so, my flight was so delayed that I had to cancel it . When I tried to use Expedia reservation insurance if say it expired, when Expedia.com tried to contact the hotel, Pigeon River did not care and I ended with a charge of $166 without using the room. I understand policies but this is the first time I wanted to try this hotel and it will be the last one, since management did not do any effort for at least giving a credit for one night. Please be better, its not always about money but satisfaction and recurrent guests. Thank You! Freddie Ortiz
