The property is situated just outside the main Kamala district, walkable but a small taxi fee if you wish. My wife & I enjoyed the quiet, slow pace of the resort; just what we were looking for.

The hotel is great. Amazing view from the sea view room. The location is just inconvenient as it’s not really near the main Kamala beach. Getting out of the strip is a minimum ~200 baht taxi ride. The hotel has limited shuttles.

Hillside rooms basic and rear corridor access is host to an array of AC condensor units whirring. Main hotel is fine - and stunning views. Food in the restaurant is very good and good value compared to other resorts. Pools are decent but the upper pool suffers from constant loud music. A one-off perhaps but our child cut open knee in pool on something sharp. The staff prevented us from leaving the property until they had checked our rooms - a complete first for me in all my years, and it was not a good experience. Was made to wait until they had carried out their checks whilst being surveilled by their staff. Terrible way to end a stay.

Beware! Whilst there was some good - views from the pool and pool bar, breakfast and majority of staff. There were also some ordinary - dated facilities, room cleaned up at 6pm on 2 out of 4 days after a trip to the beach, account cut off as We didn’t pay up in full after 3 days ( what hotel does that???). Lack of communication between managers and staff led to confusion and us being stalked - seriously. We also had no room for half a day due to maintenance - all power and water off. When I asked

Need some lifts to the rooms for older people ,stairs are too unsafe for older people, and also need proper ramps with railings on the slopey areas on the property .Also need walkin showers in all the rooms ,the deep bath is too dangerous for older people .

Relaxing holiday in the sun

From the moment I arrived until I checked out, my stay at the Namaka resort has been fantastic. I arrived very early in the morning and knew my room wouldn't be ready for a while. The staff did their best to get me checked in as early as possible and I was in my room by 12pm. There were two fairly steep slopes to go up and down from the room but there was always someone available to take you in the buggy. Throughout my holiday the staff have been polite, friendly and helpful. The food has been really tasty too. As a solo traveller, I've felt very safe here, to the point where I feel that the staff were watching out for me. I have had no complaints at all. The resort isn't close to shops etc but there is a free daily shuttle bus from the hotel to Kamara beach and Villa Market which goes every hour. It operates between the hours of 11am until 6pm. I wanted a nice relaxing holiday in the sun and I certainly had this here. I ate in the cafe bistro most nights and thoroughly enjoyed all types of food. They have live entertainment most nights who are very good at singing. I really can't fault my stay here at all.

Wonderful place. Views are special. Staff are fantastic. Restaurant could be improved a bit to make it top class. Breakfast is good though an option to have just a little rather than the whole buffet would be good. The shuttle service is a bonus. Easy to get to Kamala central. I did not mind the hill as the buggy drivers were always there to help. Staff who were great were Thae, Ae the restaurant manager, Pon and housekeeper See. Others too, I didn’t get their names. Loved the night time music duo. I’ll be back! Thank you so much.
