Blind sided w/ EXTRA costs! Don’t book 3rd party!!

All the added fees, not ok! Charged $5 each night for parking! Claims that booking through a 3rd party that info isn’t available??? Lame excuse. We are still booking w/ the hotel! Then they say they are pet friendly! Well again 3rd party doesn’t post! Then instead of a deposit they charged me $25 a night for a flipping pet!!!! How is that pet friendly! Makes customers not want to be honest!!!! This is a joke to charge all these fees when the cost is already ridiculously priced! Will not stay here again!!! No extras!!!’

Lots of issues with key not working ended up just needing staff to open room and not being able to leave the room. Toilet had urine stains on the lid. Pull out sofa mattress had lots of weird stains and no extra blankets to at least cover the stains. Didn’t get a remote for the TV signal kept cutting out either way. Overall the staff were super kind and helpful with our room door not working.

Good location

Positives include the location, and the bed and linens were fine. This is a pet friendly hotel. Unfortunately, our room smelled like pet urine. New batteries were need in the TV remote and one lamp did not work. Told management about the issues when we checked out. They would have given us a different room.

Good Stay!

We've been staying in Sonesta Suites in Scottsdale for a couple of years now and now know the difference between a Sonesta Suites and a Sonesta Simply Suites. The "Simply" Suites are scaled down, no breakfast not as roomy, or upscale as the Sonesta Suites. The appliances all worked fine, the TV was a little small, the air conditioners worked good and the showers were adequate in our Simply Suite. However, the bed was very soft and I finally moved to the couch in the living room so could get a decent nights sleep. There were enough dishes, spoons, forks, knives, and cups for two and coffee packs for the coffee maker were replenished upon request as was sugar and creamer. There were lots of restaurants and a gas station with a minimart inside that came in handy as we checked in at about 1 in the morning. Our check in was smooth and everything was as expected from our booking information. Our location was very convenient and within a few miles of where had to be everyday which is why we picked this location. Lots of parking. The washer in our building was working but no dryer so we had to take our laundry over to an adjacent building and do laundry which was a little inconvenient for us.

Stay far away from this place. I never thought Scottsdale would have a hotel run like this one. I truly thought that it must be where illegals aliens are housed! Loud Hispanic music blaring while people were grilling in the parking lot. This went on until late in the evening. As retired law enforcement I witnessed two drug deals go down in the parking lot when we came back from visiting family to the hotel on two separate nights. It rained very hard one day when we were there. We had a room on the bottom floor and water seeped in from the outside to the floor. Had to get management to come clear out the water from the carpet and run a drying fan. By the way I showed the manager where the fridge was damaged like someone poked it with an ice pic. One would never expect a hotel like this one to be in the Pearl of the Phoenix Valley, SCOTTSDALE ! Van Buren St in Phoenix YES! And charging $ 215 a night plus a 100.00 incidental fee and charge for parking. I wonder if they charge for grilling 😂 Stay far AWAY

Overall just old and run down ! Terrible bathroom shower , who needs DSL , I need Usb , first sign of old and out dated is no usb connections , bathroom floor is buckling and trim and caulk are showing signs of mold and mildew ,doors close very loudly all night long , tv did'nt work in master bedroom , very old couch was junk! the list could go on , and then the nerve to charge $5,00 a day to park !

I booked two rooms. One was nice but mine was not. It had a rollaway bed instead of two beds. The room must be a smoking room because it smelled terrible. There was only decaff coffee and sugar in the rooms. I saw a bug in the kitchenette. Yuck! We used the pool and it was filthy

We expected a mid price hotel. It was way below that. A dirty carpet, non working tv remote, lightbulb out next to bedside lamp., broken window that did not shut completely and we did not feel safe in the parking area at night. We were so disappointed for the high cost.

The property looks decent on the outside. The rooms need to be upgraded. The shower head was from the 1980’s and has tape on it holding it together. There was a very moldy smell in the room plus the damage in the room was obvious. If I could share pictures you would be shocked.
