Disliked: Cleanliness
We arrived at the home around 1 a.m., which the host already knew ahead of time. The moment we walked in, there were flies ALL over the house. We hoped things would improve in the morning, but they only got worse. When we woke up, we realized the home advertised to sleep eight people had only two coffee cups, one spoon, one fork, and one knife. There were no plates, bowls, or proper kitchen utensils whatsoever. On top of that, the house was filthy. Dirt covered the floors to the point nobody could comfortably walk around barefoot. It honestly looked like the home had not been cleaned at all before our arrival. I contacted the host immediately. The host also later informed us that someone had been smoking in the home prior to our arrival. We had elders staying with us, making this a major safety concern. Had this been disclosed beforehand, we would have canceled our stay entirely. We were also excited to use the patio and fire pit area, but landscaping tools were scattered everywhere and the outdoor cushions were disgusting. To make matters worse, someone entered the home without our knowledge during our stay and slammed doors throughout the house, startling everyone inside. Overall, this was one of the worst vrboexperiences I’ve ever had.
