Let me preface this with a couple things: First, when i had decided to write a review, i was going to say it’s without bias without any particular problem. Then the shower handle fell off, and had to run for 6h until someone fixed it. Second, the only reason this has 2 stars is because 1 star reviews are often ignored as they are expected to someone just having a merely bad experience. I have tried to be objective as possible and just state facts. There was no one at the front desk when we arrived. After about 15m banging on the door someone showed up and gave us a key, and we were told we had to come back in the morning to finish check in. When i came back the next morning, after a few minutes of banging on the door, from the other end of the lot the housekeeper called to me and basically said keep banging, and we were eventually checked in. I had told the housekeeper that we needed more towels and she handed some to me. The room itself- the front door didn’t close all the way, and had no type of insulation from the outside. There was a drop from the door to the floor. There wasn’t an actual curtain on the window, just some blanket or something tacked up. The TV had wires hanging off it, but it was just unsightly and didn’t really hurt anything, as well as the several spots around the walls that also had either small holes or spackled sections that were not repainted. The rear window was broken, had no curtain, and had a light outside that shined through the entire night.

The room type we booked (2 Queen beds + kitchen) was not available when we arrived. The property had no rooms with two beds available for two adults and offered no solution. The surrounding area also felt run‑down and uncomfortable, which made the situation even more concerning. We were forced to book another hotel at our own expense and did not stay here at all. Despite not providing the contracted room, the property refused to authorize a refund. Expedia eventually refunded us after escalation, but the hotel did not take responsibility for failing to provide the room we paid for. After reading other 1‑star reviews, it’s clear this is not an isolated incident — several guests have reported the same issues with room types not being honored and refunds being denied. Travelers should be aware of this pattern before booking.

Flying into Phoenix as my brother was transitioning through hospice. Needed a close place to stay to be with home. Hotel info stated to call for a late check in/ after 10pm. I called 5 times throughout the day left messages and NEVER received a return call!!!! I have no time to deal with poor communication at this time so we never even wasted our time checking in. I better not be charged 1 penny for this.
