We purchased a non-refundable room for two nights. Two weeks prior to travel my husband had a heart attack and is unable to travel. I contacted Expedia and, even with documentation from the doctor, they would not allow the cancellation and refund. They referred us to Hampton. We called Hampton and they referred us back to Expedia, who collected our money.
We will never purchase anything from Expedia again, we could not even speak to a live person, only email or virtual chat. Customer service and satisfaction is very very important to us, and there was absolutely no indication Expedia is interested in that. Or really Hampton for that matter.
