Front desk uninformed

I selected this hotel specifically because they had a pool. I was traveling with a 3 year old. The front desk attendant said the pool opened for the season the next day. When I later tried to get a refund through hotels.com, I was told that the pool was open despite the front desk attendant telling me it was closed. They contacted the hotel who confirmed it was open. So someone is lying.

It was convenient for my business trip. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Cleanliness must improve. The power strips in the room were covered by dust. The floor in the gym (especially on the corners) was covered by dust. The gym equipment can use an upgrade.

Charged resort fee but pool & pool deck are closed until May 19. Stayed at this hotel last year, 5/10/24, & pool deck was open. Otherwise everything was good, even improved from last year

We enjoyed our stay and the bed was very comfortable. We would have Beni from hooks in the bathroom and a trash can. Also the coffe was not good. Maybe a keurig would help.
