Sandy Key 511 is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath Gulf Front condo. This 5th floor unit includes a covered balcony that offers spectacular views of the beach and unforgettable sunsets. The kitchen is ready to use and furnished with dishwasher, oven, microwave, refrigerator and freezer perfect for cooking your family meals. Enjoy cable TV in each room and free wi-fi Internet access. Unit does have a washer/dryer and linens in unit. The complex offers two outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, an exercise room, and grilling areas providing lots of family fun.

Sandy Key offers boardwalks to the beach, two pools (one is heated), fitness center and a lighted tennis court.

Great location, but condo needs some updating

We had a great time on our trip, but the condo itself had a few inconveniences that are worth noting. The location was great and the AC worked wonderfully, which was a huge plus during the warmer days. However, there were several things that could use improvement.There was no keyless entry, which meant keeping up with physical keys—not ideal when coming and going to the beach. The master bedroom didn’t have any curtains, which made it hard to sleep in late if you wanted to. The dryer was very inefficient; it took three cycles to dry each load. The living room TV wouldn’t turn on at all during our stay. Also, the showers didn’t drain properly, and there were no ceiling fans, which might be a downside for some (though the AC did keep things cool).Lighting-wise, the living room only had one lamp, which made it difficult to create softer lighting in the evening—I personally prefer dimmer lights at night.Overall, we enjoyed the area and made the most of our stay, but a few updates and fixes would really improve the comfort and convenience of this unit.

Condo is nice. I really liked that it was on the end of the building which made for easy beach access. The bathrooms and bedrooms need more lighting and not having a ceiling fan in the bedrooms made them feel stuffy. The door lock need attention as the key would get stuck and we had to wiggle the handle to remove it. I would recommend putting one with a code. Overall stay was pleasant.
